Oh! So Device Label Grimlock/Trypticon is where were going huh? Seriousily how did Starscream becoem 2nd in command? Great observation.
That is pretty much one of the smarter ideas he's come up with. But he'll likely implement it in stupid ways to compensate for reasonability.
I would so fear for Wheeljack's self-esteem if he was hearin' half the stuff bein' talked about anything he works on, but on the other hand, he does kinda deserve his reputation.
I love the way you're portraying everyone so far Your word bubbles are awesome too Not too clutttery and not too huge
Man, these strips are awesome! I blew a gut reading all 5 episodes in 1 go Ahem...more please, good sir.
ah, so I see that you go by Rumble and Frenzy's cartoon color scheme, like myself (my United Rumble is the blue one, United Frenzy is the red one). would Skywarp, Thundercracker, Thrust and Dirge appear?
New Dinobot unveiling - and Wheeljack just made 'im? Gee, I wonder how well will THAT end... (maybe as well as the rest of his inventions.)
Again, I want to thank everyone for taking the time to post. I really am enjoying doing this, and plot ideas are starting to flow more freely. I actually cracked myself up last week writing some new dialogue (which unfortunately won't see "print" for at least another month--one of the main reasons I'm trying to get this story moving!). Let me address a few comments directly. I'm easily influenced by what other people have done, so I try to limit how many other comics I read on here. That said, I find Hearts of Plastic almost addictive. Easily one of the best strips on here. Truth is, I hadn't even considered sticking with a set number of panels for each strip. But your suggestion made perfect sense. And there have already been times I've wished I hadn't saddled myself with seven! I thought: if you were building a dinosaur, why WOULD you give it small useless arms? Historical accuracy is the ONLY reason. So of course Wheeljack felt the need to explain his reasoning. I had to do it, at least once. My fear, of course, was limiting myself to using Powermaster Optimus as my Optimus character. He's good for a joke, but he has zero "acting" ability. Oh well... Hilarious, but those word balloons were a CHORE to link together like that in the beginning. Getting more comfortable with it now. I figure, this is something you have to read. So I need to make it readable. I'm glad you like them. Uhh... heh. Embarrassing confession: I love the Classics style, but I also love money. I used to own Skywarp, but when his value went through the roof I sold him like I'd stolen him. (Did the same with Classics Optimus. If I still had him, that Powermaster Prime gag probably wouldn't have happened.) Truth is, of all the Classics-styled figures I own, at least 80% of them have already appeared in the strip. And the ones that haven't will probably appear soon. I'm afraid you've already seen my Seeker collection (if Starscream and Ramjet can be considered to constitute a "collection"). Well, Episode #6 is just about finished, and I'll hopefully post it Tuesday. Stay tuned... things are about to get... ...complicated.
And now, the moment all writers dread: is the payoff to the slow buildup anticlimactic? Too late now...
