I'm guessing it's a montage of Hot Shot's and Downshift's antics...which apparently involves checking out hot babe-bots and beating up on Ransack. Also, at the Panty and Stocking-bots.
It's a montage. I watched a few episodes. Seem random as hell, but just as entertaining. CORRECT! Except for Ransack. That was actually a mini-WW Optimus. I call him Optimus Minor. And now, an homage to the first issue of the Dreamwave Armada comics.

....and he drove right into the Armada comic. That was fun, that comic, maybe the best thing out of Armada (besides minicons and jaAm. ) HS & DS's bromantic montage calls for some hilariously-mismatched music, like "I'm Into Something Good".
