All you need to know about Doctor Who is that a T.A.R.D.I.S. is a Time Machine that can also travel through space, & usually dematerializes to do so. Anything else can be considered Technobabble (which will come next update).

The Device working on Op. is one of Wheeljack's inventions, one he was iffy on using (hence Splitting Op into his Component Parts first), not that he'd tell that to Optimus.

Very nice, well worth the wait. The backgrounds are sweet, really brining in the classic g1 feel. All the elements were perfect. WJ having explosive devices, things in various states of completion and all. And WJ has a tardis! Pretty cool. This could lead to something real interesting. I have never seen Dr. Who, So I don't know how close you got with the effects, but they looked cool to me. (I have seen it referenced enough around here to have a basic understanding of the tardis). Sorry to cut it short, I will continue our other conversation when I get home. I'm still out of state, veiwng this on my phone right now.

I forgot to include the credit for who made the Teletraan diorama in my notes (added after this post):

Mandingo Rex (TFormers s/n) made the Teletraan Diorama print out, which I used digitally to create the backgrounds for this update, which will be used again to create the AEG HQ that will be set up on Arus. His TFormers profile page | Where I found the print out files

I'm glad everyone seems to have enjoyed the Update & felt the wait was worth it. The next Update you'll see the rest that took so long... :ev:  I'm just debating which of 3 routes to go w/ the T.A.R.D.I.S. You can pick 1, 2 or 3, but I'm not saying what they are. :ev:

& Woo hoo, I passed 5,555 views today!

*edit* After verifying that the links work & go where I thought they did, I found more print outs for actual Ark walls, so I may use those, instead of the Teletran ones for AEG HQ, to make them look different... Not that you'll be able to tell w/o looking hard...

I've finished Update 19, but have expended my computer time 'shopping in Cybertron (little as complex as Update 18, but still nearly every panel has some 'shopping for the background... & a lot have resized characters), so mining all the URLs will have to wait, so I won't be posting it till I get back up (random sleep times, due to the injury, but I'll be going to bed soon)... On top of the 27 panels for the Update, which I still need to think up a Title for (what I was going to call it fits the next Update better), I also have to upload & post the last 1/2 of the Omake.

Speaking of the Omake: would you all rather I just post links to the panels, or would you prefer I post all 32 panels after Update 19 (may or may not post in a seperate post, but I can make jump links now, so a link/s will be available in the first post, in the Index regardless of where & how I post it); it doesn't matter to me, though links will be easier on me & faster. The Omake Panels are scattered a bit, but what I have put up have shortcuts to them already encoded.

A lot is revealed in this update... & one of the shadowy figures in my Sig makes his debut... Do any of you think I should un-black him out now? I kept the GIMP Layers, so it shouldn't be too hard. There's also more Doctor Who fun... But some is explained, so you don't need to have seen the series to keep up... Not that you had to last Update either...

Oh, & there are a few G1 References as well, for good measure. I was laughing as I included some, so I hope you do too... Especially the last few panels. :lol

You'll also see the full extent of the delay of the previous Update. :ev:

Again, sorry for THIS Delay, but even typing this is messing w/ my headache, but I wanted to let you know w/in 12 or so hours, I SHOULD have the Update & Omake posted (assuming said headache doesn't prevent me from doing so).

Oh, & there's another surprise in the next update too. :ev:

    Update 19: Wrecked and Ruled!

    Coordinated update!

Not as much of a delay this time... Still a LOT of work, though... I decided to use the Title I first thought up (or one of its variations) after all... Thinking about how the next update might unfold, it didn't quite fit as much as I thought it did...

I decided to go w/ Links to the Omake... Less URL mining... You can jump to the Omake by clicking here.

Again, Omake means "Extra" in Japanese. & w/ Anime & Manga (Japanese comics), Omake tends to be an extra involving the characters, often, but not necessarily, in an Alternate Universe type deal, where the effects in the Omake have no impact on the main story... But that isn't always the case, there are some Omakes that are directly linked to the main/ original story... When used in the US, some use Omake to mean ANY included extra, such as DVD Commentaries & such... Mine is an AU story.

    Enjoy...

Note 1: The backgrounds weren't what delayed these 2 updates (they were a factor, yes; but not the main delaying factor): I built a Lego MP Trailer for MP-01/ 20th Anniversary Optimus Prime... I got tired of 'shopping BOTH MP Op & G2 Op, so I got rid of a layer of 'shopping. That took an ENTIRE WEEK! Before my accident, it shouldn't've taken 2 days. The Omake is actually in the Radicons thread for my trailer. It's been there the whole time. :ev:  Granted, I didn't add the last 20 panels of the Omake until I made this post (prepared them both toegether, before hitting both post buttons :ev: )

Note 2: I went w/ a 4th direction for MP Op's group. My original choices were for them to materialize to help Rhinox & the gang, & for the T.A.R.D.I.S. to take a hit, appear scrapped, but for either the Decepticons to get it or for BW Megatron to make an extra stop for it (since he knows about what Vector speaks about). But then, I realized I could use this to speed up the search for the Wrecker Vector wants to join the team... & lets me hit on most of the groups (I'll probably do part of update 20 on either Rattrap's group or Grimlock's battle, not sure which... But I MIGHT show the Wreckers next time... maybe... :ev:

Note 3: Yes, I killed And His Armada. He isn't coming back, not w/o a Spark Chamber/ Laser Core! :ev:  He's not supposed to exist anyway. :ev:

& because someone has already mixed them up, despite my making the dialog clear, THAT WAS NOT Cyclonus; Cyclonus is still in Astrotrain w/ the other Decepticons not living on Cybertron. "And His Armada" was an animation/ dialog error in TFTM, or a continuity error everywhere else, as he rarely pops up. "And His Armada" was supposed to be to Cyclonus what the Sweeps are to Scourge.

Note 4: Yes, the mystery shadow by Starscream & Cyclonus in my Sig was Scourge... His cape somehow didn't show up, even though I didn't try to hide it. Should I leave him in Shadow, or colorize him in my Sig? I still have the working file for it, so it shouldn't be hard to do... Depends on how I did it (I don't remember).

Of special note, you'll always be able to tell my Scourge from the rest of the Sweeps, because he will have his cape, while the others' wings will be kept folded up... More work, but necessary at least for me.

Note 5: Any old school D&Der's that are also Doctor Who fans out there remember what happens when you put an Extradimentional Space inside another Extradimentional Space? :ev:

Note 6: No TFs, toys or otherwise, were harmed, damaged, dismantled or what have you, in the making of this Update. Scourge, however WAS Cloned, & Cyclonus was used in place of "And His Armada". "And His Armada's" death was done via GIMP Cut & Paste.

Note 7: Ectoneon provided the High Quality, starting, many close up, images of Polyhex, "Darkmount Fortress", & other shots of Primus/ Cybertron yet to be used. (might've used shots of Iacon he gave me too, earlier, but I'm not sure.) Sorry for the dealy in adding this, I had meant to immediately, but my head injury causes me to forget things...

The Omake is posted through out the Radicons thread. You can follow these links to each panel (some are grouped together), or click here to jump to that thread's linked index post.
    Omake links: Omake Panel 1 | Omake Panel 2 | Omake Panels 3 & 4 | Omake Panels 5 & 6 | Omake Panel 7 | Omake Panel 8 | Omake Panels 9 & 10 | Omake Panel 11 | Omake Panels 12 - 32

NOT Cyclonus. Cyclonus is still in Astrotrain w/ Starscream & the others. That was "And His Armada", Cyclonus' "army", like Scourge's Sweeps... The one off animation error from TFTM (or a Continuity error everywhere else).

& I didn't dismantle him for that shot, I 'shopped him into pieces.

I've added additional Notes to the end of the Update.

Very interesting about how the TARDIS and Prime's trailer are alike.

I loved the bit about it being silly to just accept whatever unicron called him, as his name, though it doesn't really matter now.

Well, it is canon for both. The TARDIS is a bit different, but it is a multidimentional entitiy, litterally "bigger on the inside" (One of the Doctor's favorite quotes, which I JUST had to give to Op ^_^). In one ep. of Doctor Who, one of the Doctor's archenemies materialized his own TARDIS inside the Doctor's, which made a sort of feedback loop between them, where leaving one, put them in the other.

Optimus' Trailer, however, was implied to have at least 2 Dimentions to it: one for Roller & the Repair Drone, & one empty for cargo/ passengers. In Dinobot Island, I don't think 3 Wooly Mamoths would fit in the EMPTY trailer, muchless w/ Roller & the Deck, so there has to be an alternate Dimention.

I'm playing w/ the idea, in my head, of there being the 2 pocket Dimentions on top of the physical structure of the trailer, making 3 storage areas total... But if I do go ahead & use the physical one, the Pocket Dimentions wouldn't be accessible while the physical one is in use.

I felt it was time to actually have a fatality in my Alternity. So far it's just been massive damage leading to Stasis Lock. The Wreckers aren't the usual group of TFs in ANY depiction, & though I don't know much about them, I do know they're a bit more violent in battle... especially this group... It was time for a background character to die, to show just why they're Wreckers... Even if you don't get to SEE the Wreckers...

G1 references make nice lines like that; & playing w/ the discontinuity makes it funny; & I just had to comment on the "name"... Plus it seems like something G1 Scourge would say. It's been a while since I've had a straight up reference, & I've been wanting to do something w/ Scourge & Cyclonus, but didn't want to wait for Cyclonus (I was getting impaitient w/ delaying Scourge's debut as well), & And His Armada gave me the chance. Plus, I could kill him off brutally, & noone complain...

It took a week to build. The walls, ironically, were the hard part. All the moving bits took WAY less time, even Micronizing the Lego Clone Turbo Tank's tilt-suspension steering for Roller; but the walls are composed of a bunch of varying sized panels, & getting them secure was tricky. The length wound up in scale TOTALLY by accident. A lot of stuff just fell into place...

I didn't even sit down w/ a schematic. I just dismantled a Lego Set at a time, & built the Trailer on the fly. I had the G2 Trailer near by for reference, but rarely looked at it (having owned it since G2, I'm VERY familiar w/ Op's Trailer).

There's only one fragility to the trailer I've seen: If the walls just drop down on their own, they fall too fast & come loose from the base. Other than that, it is a lot stronger than I thought it'd be... & MP Op can store inside, or stand on it... The rear ramp just isn't strong enough to support him (though, it IS strong enough to support Alternators & Roller). Sample of pics submitted for the Gallery (direct link, like w/ the Omake links).

You'd probably like my Radicons Thread for it, if you haven't checked it out already.

The idea of doing the Omake of Wheeljack building it hit me just before I started, as an extention of making posts for Radicons.

I gotcha I dig how our universe's Wreckers operate, "shoot first than ask questions later" type of style. Almost borderlining Rambo in a way.

"Bursting in, guns-blazing" is the definition of Wrecker. They're a Special Operations Strike Team who aren't that concerned about Tactics.

    Full TF Origin

Posted my take on the Origin of the TFs, which is used for this comic, here if anyone is interested.

It starts w/ the creation of Unicron, & ends in Orion Pax's reformatting into Optimus. After that, I also rationalize Vector Sigma vs. the Allspark.

I've also posted links to the Radicon Omake in my first post.

I love the tiny shots of TF's on Primus' surface. Ingenious!
