I'm glad you're still among the land of moving parts! I am sorry you're undergoing stress at work. I've heard about how badly people who work at retail are treated by ungrateful and unpleasant customers. It will be nice to see another update, but the important thing is that you're alive and well.
As someone who's been working retail for almost 5 years I can definitely sympathize with your stress! Don't let it get to you, fight the stress like Bee fights your frequent captors!
Comic 246 I'm still alive, hopefully! I'm still plugging away at WalMart, just in Apparel and Homelines since the stress of cashiering became too much (blame the entitled customers, mothers and hyperactive kids) and just cashier when needed, I turned a year older just two days ago, and I have a cookbook that's Overwatch related, so I'm trying out any recipes I can get ingredients and materials for. I also have been getting more creative juices for drawing lately, so I've been buying things related to that. YouTubers also take my money with their merch after I get bills paid as well as an annual local convention that welcomes geeks, gamers, cosplayers, artists, etc. that also have guests from the industries that have roots in the Midwest, including Wally Wingert (RID '01 Side Burn and Mirage) and Jason Marnocha (Combiner Wars Megatron). I'm going to focus on getting though the Christmas season now.
Well first, Happy Birthday! Sounds like things have (hopefully) gotten better for you with your job and other stuff which is good. Very nice to see an update from you too. And while I do not know much of anything about cooking, drawing, or Overwatch, I do know that that's one of the most adorable Kuriboh plushies I've seen.
Happy birthday! Glad to see you're doing well! Customers are frequently awful but I try to remember that every once in a while you get those ones that make it worth it by somehow brightening your day.
LONG OVERDUE UPDATE!!! If I still have people reading that is... Where to start... I am so sorry that life has been keeping me away from here, especially now with political and medical current events, but I'm okay, my family's okay, and we're good on cow meat since my parents were smart enough to have a steer slaughtered at a trusted meat locker. As of late, I finally got a drawing tablet that I can actually see my drawing on, so I don't have to fumble around with looking at the screen and feeling uncomfortable not looking at my hand. I've also gotten a Switch and have been brainwashed by Animal Crossing for the first time in my life. I also hit a love for Mortal Kombat as plainly pictured with the art of Scorpion from the latest animated film in the franchise. Due to the current pandemic, WalMart has put in safe guards to ensure employees are as safe as possible while working, though retail workers aren't as frontline as hospital staff, so I jumped on the homemade mask train with Transformers fabric that I was lucky to even snag while everyone else was worried about toilet paper, and all stores that I know of have been closing for a certain window of time to allow for easier stocking and sanitizing day to day (7 am to 8:30 pm Central) as well as screening every employee coming through a specified entrance. I also fell into depression over the stress of everything regarding the political outcries and the quarantine, but I'm working on getting better. I don't know if I'll be allowed to post updates again, given it's been a full six months now, but if I have to, I'll make a new thread to try and continue. In fact, I should try to at least utilize this comic as a way to destress.
Nice to see you back! I started mine again the same thread after literally five years, so you don't have worry about making a new one. Glad you and yours are safe, hope you start feeling better soon. Depression sucks.
