Very nice tribute ap101. I was even pretty proud and happy that even np96 cared about the events that happened on 9/11.

Anyway, more on topic: I love your tribute to 9/11. 'Cept now I feel guilty, because your tribute was a full comic, but mine was just a 'moment of scilence', AKA some blank space before Comic 19...

But the line about people wishing this event never happened got me thinking...

What WOULD the world be like if it never happened?

In theory, the Butterfly Effect states that the smallest change in history can make a big difference in the future. So what happens to the timestream if a MAJOR event in history is deleted?

Well, for one thing, Bin Laden would still be alive.
In all seriousness, though, I'm not sure what would happen if 9/11 never happened. I'm torn between thinking that America would be far better off than it is now and thinking that there would just be another terrorist attack somewhere else, probably somewhere a lot more important and valuable than the Twin Towers (Like, say, the White House).

Still, I can't help but think that imagining what would the world be like if 9/11 never happened is (And I mean this with absolutely no disrespect, so please don't curse me out) kind of pointless. Yeah, it sucks that it happened and we all wish that it didn't, but the fact is that 9/11 happened and there doesn't seem to be a way to change that. America just has to keep moving forward and keep this tragedy from ever happening again.

On the bright side, though, we finally killed the [REDACTED] that's responsible for 9/11, so that's a plus.

I agree with think 'what if it didn't happen' is kind pointless. In theory, if you even WERE able to go back in time, we wouldn't STOP the event, you'd end up taking part in or setting up the events TO happen. So basically we make history how it is.

Not to mention if it DIDN'T happen, it... well, wouldn't happen, so there wounldn't be an even to wish out of existance.

Still, it'd make a cool movie or book plot for someone to go back in time and stop 9/11 or Pearl Harbor or something like that, and see the effects on the future.

well actually the 4th plane was aiming for the capital until the brave passengers and crew took it over and it crashed in PA. i watched some specials on tv last night. (there was nothing on and my stomache was upset so i laied out on the couch)
