I was quoting Rhinox, which makes "Bearings of Chrome Steel" a proper TransFormers euphemism. http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Anatomic_euphemisms#Bearing
Wow, I may of heard it when watching BW, but I wasn't paying much attention to detail of the dialogue. Crap! You know what you're right. But I wanted it to fit with anyone of that mannerism. If you know what I mean.
Rhinox said that in the first ep. of Beast Wars, near the end, about Dinobot when he challenged Optimus Primal to the battle for Command of the Maximals on the narrow "bridge" enroute to the Maximal base. The dialog in Beast Wars was priceless... It's some of the best stuff about the show... Particularly since the VAs seemed to CARE! & because of it, tons of slag got past the censors! It was also Beast Wars where a lot of the euphenism's used by TransFans comes from. Again, bypassing the censors. It was also referenced in Animated, when one of the Constructicons talks about naming Snarl, he said he was orignally going to call him Slag, but he took offence to it... Since Beast Wars, Slag has been an often used swear substitute, so it'd've been like naming him crap or a similar word.
Cool. Well hopefully whatever scout goes out there to search to see if War was telling the truth about the Decepticons that its bearings are chrome steel.
It isn't WHO that goes out that's important. It's whether he returns in one piece, if at all, that my " scout?" post started a discussion on.
Last panel was posted twice. So, the Cataclysm is a more recent event than a general extinction, hmm...
That's what I get for multi-tasking. But it's fixed now. Yeah the Cataclysm happened just before the very end of the Autobot/Decepticon war.
Indeed, an apocalypse scenario. You just gotta stick together with about any survivors and surviving forms of authority around... ... Any chance there's Mad Max styled bikers and thugs in some outlaw countries?
