Aha! Now here's a statement I can address!

Though I was planning on saving the explanation for a future comic (I believe that all pertinent information contained in a story should be told within the context of the story), I see that it is in my best interest to defend my position here and now.

TL;DR- Listen up bucko, here's the deal...

I decided that I wanted to do a story about the combaticons, around the time the power-core combiners came out.
Bombshock being as close to Onslaught as one could get at the time, and Mr combinerform being a spitting image of Bruticus, I went ahead and planned out a story around this toy.

TL;DR- Don't got no Energon Bruticus, Don't got no FoC Bruticus, gonna use PCC Bombshock, 'kay?

Realizing, as many did, that the combiner limbs did not have robot forms, I decided to use a variety of robots to represent the Humanoid modes of the combaticons.
Also realizing that this will look a little odd, I decided to use a little photoshop trickery to show the robots "transforming" into the vehicle forms on occasion.

TL;DR- I got cool toys, they kinda look like Combaticons, GIMP is awesome.

It's a stylistic choice to use incompatible robot modes to represent the commies, A'ight? Much like using a Drawing Board, Scanner and Microsoft Paint to create a Gurren Lagann Fan-Comic using various Transformers to represent a variety of Anime Characters.

So, what do you think after reading my explanation, Stoner? Still a fail or has your mind been changed?
