For photo editing, you might want to try downloading GIMP 2.0. Is almost as good as photoshop, and it's free. Quite a few people here use it, check out Warring At Play if you want to see an example of the high end effects GIMP can create.
For the camera-is there a way to disable the flash? Mine has a super-macro setting works wondefully with TF's but you have to kill the flash first. Failing that, maybe you can flood the room with enough natural light so that the flash doesn't trigger?
The main thing with any comic is the writing though. As long as you're funny, no one minds if the FX are basic or the photography is a bit fuzzy. By all means, go to town on the FX if you want too, because it can be VERY rewarding, but always remember that the writing is where you stand or fall.  | Thanks a lot for your "2 cents" Really, thanks. I got to work on my 'writing' skills; I did those first two comics spontaneously. That's why they're kind of weak. I might need some help with 'writing', though I already have a P.O.K.E. lined up, ooops. SPOILER! OK, nevermind I said that. Uhhhh...I'm no good at 'writing', I am very spontaneous, and that's a hit and miss endevor. Oh-well.  just keep Bay-ing it!
