Well, in TFTM '86, it was pretty much a redshirting...dying early on to up the stakes and clear the way for the flaming Winnebago. He did have a good fight, though!
The Marvel comic fight with Unicron was definitely more of a Hero moment! But Scorponok got redshirted...ya just can't win...

OK, basically the twelve... I mean seven tasks of Optimus Prime are an opportunity for me to indulge a little. Basically, of the seven, six of the tasks feature some kind of crossover with a different franchise, only one of which is a Transformers one. Yes, Prime... you get to be resurrected. And no need to get shocked that you are the Chosen One instead of Ultra Magnus or Hot Rod... this is NOT exactly the 1986 movie all over again, at least not exactly the same as the events in the movie.
Can't wait to see all these tasks Prime has to accomplished in order to be resurrected before the Darkest Hour arrives. | |
