Wow, guess RA isn't going to forget about ponies anytime soon.

It takes me at least two hours to shoot, edit, and prepare one set of photos, if I sit there and work on it from start to finish. Sometimes, depending on the length of the thing it could take me two hours just to photograph it.

It ain't like the fan-fictions you can work on. Anyway, I'll keep reading this as long as its here. And as long as you feel to continue it.
I'm somewhat in the same boat, especially in the time department. Since it's almost impossible for me to keep checking the change in the viewcount (which doesn't seem to be changing at a high rate anyway), my main way of checking the popularity of my comic is in the comments made, and I'm not really getting many of those anymore as I was during arcs like Robot of Miracles. Maybe it's because the whole Dorm room thing wasn't a big popular arc (which it wasn't intended to be), but I am not willing to keep continuing making this comic unless I know there's a good number of people out there who read and appreciate my work.

I mean, I'm not trying to make my comic the successor to WaP or OotDL, that would be insane, but the fact my reader retention has gone down more than I've picked up readers (from what I can tell) is not encouraging. The next arc will require massive time input on my part, time I really could be using for other things, and I'm not willing to put that effort forward unless I know I have a decent audience to make it worth while.

The biggest reason I've haven't been bothering to follow this comic is the ponies. They're just something I don't care for, and with them taking so much of the focus I'm getting too little of the things I do like to pay any attention.

Wow, that seems like a pretty pathetic excuse for not reading someone's comic. Sure if you don't like the Pony show I can understand where it might turn you off, but considering these are toy comics from someone who collects and enjoys Ponies you're bound to find them involved in certain story arcs.

I suppose that answers my question as to why nobody is reading my comic either, too many Brony and Pony haters on this site to even bother wasting my time. Seriously, if you're going to ignore a fan funny just because it has Ponies in it you won't be seeing too many worthwile funnies strips around here. Most of the big ones I've seen posted tend to either feature ponies or make references to ponies in general. (Among other things like LEGO and Batman and Marvel and all those Shinkis.) I don't get all the Shinki love or why they're so famous in the eyes of fan funnies makers, but I still read them even if I don't always comment on them because I find the storylines quite entertaining.

Primus, if you're going to base your like or dislike of the funnies because Ponies are involved then you're seriously in the wrong section of this forum.

Yes, I am a bit tired of the ponies infecting everywhere, but I also have a problem with the story. I look at older strips and wonder what happened. The stories used to be fun and entertaining and the characters so interesting, but recently is just doesn't seem to be there. For me it hasn't been there since Innocence Lost. It was during that arc that I started to lose interest. The stories just haven't been entertaining enough to keep me reading and many of the new characters (if you can even call some of them characters) just aren't as interesting as the old ones (who are a treat to see when they do appear because they seem to still be their old selves).

THANK YOU!

Along with the lack of comments, there is a stark lack of honest criticism from which I can build upon. I don't know how to address my problems with the comic if people don't speak up and tell me how to fix them. Don't like the ponies? Not a problem, I'll cut back on them and bring forth the old characters I haven't really been able to use for a while. I was planning on doing that anyway, but the fact I'm getting feedback from you indicating this is the way to go is reassuring.

Come to think of it, since I'm actually waiting on something before I can even begin working on the next arc, this is an excellent time for my readers to tell me what YOU guys want to see. Who do you want to feature more heavily or not be used as much? What kind of story or stories did you like or didn't like? What in general do you want to see more of? I'm open for suggestions for just about anything AS LONG AS they do not involve The Fallen (I seriously just can not work with that stupid figure in a main character capacity, I'd have gotten rid of him by now if he wasn't a gift from my sister for Christmas some time ago) or romance plots, so fire away!

In the meantime, I may try my hand at a few one-shots with the older characters just to get a feel for them again.

I like all of your story arcs.

Pretty much, I would like to see more of the Shinki. Not just Partio and Pomock, whom we've seen on/off in the last story arc, but it would be nice to see the other Shinki, at least so I can see how things are faring with them, especially Tigris.

Other than that, I can't really think of anything else I would like to see, what kind of stories I would like to read, etc.

x2!

i'll be honest here: most of the comics i read are pretty much the ones where shinkis are involved on one way or another (with some exceptions like megatrons anonymous). so it would be nice to see your shinkis back in the spotlight once more, because even if your stories are still ok in my books, things have been going a bit downhill since the ponies appeared...

but just to make it clear, i DO have a dislike for MLP, but i do NOT mind seeing them on screen, its just a matter of giving a chance to your old characters, to get back on the spotlight again, since i feel they have been sort of... forgotten.

it would be nice to see the Shinki's again (maybe even introduce new ones)
