1. This was mostly a talky update, but it's neccessary to set up certain aspects of what's going on so later events would make sense.

2. Also, this is a semi-parody of the fact Skids rarely gets any screen time. Here, he's got most of the lines!

 

 

The traumatization of Red Alert continues...

Isn't it great to have Skids around? Exposition is always something needed, but with some characters it sounds awkward. With Skids, it sounds exactly right.

I loved how you portray Barricade in this update. And yikes! They're being spied on along the way. Not good.

why isn't Red Alert's sensors going crazy over the spys? And who else is watching? Another one of Sideways' goons? A MMS Assualt Squad? Lockdown? Sentinel Prime? Classics Megatron? CI's Gundam Warriors, looking for help against the Dark Entities?

 

Isn't her name Ditzy Doo?

 

Hasn't honestly been confirmed. Lauren Faust said Derpy and Ditzy can be the same person if you want.

  You can trust Barricade even if he's supposed to be evil. Not helping at all.

I agree, it's like Skids was MADE to be the guy who always does the exposition. Maybe that's why he got barely any screentime in the show; who needs exposition when you're trying to sell toys of robots that are supposed to beat the utter crap out of each other? In the 80's, no less?

Well, Derpy is just a name given to a pony from the first episode of MLP:FiS that for an unknown reason had derped eyes. The growing fandom latched onto the semi-fan character she became a meme of sorts.

Then she appeared later on in the episode "Feeling Pinkie Keen", intentionally added by the animation director, and she became more than just a meme. According to somebody on the team, Derpy is now an "official" character, or at least will have planned apperances from now on instead of just being randomly put in.

Just be sure to give her a muffin if you have one. She loves muffins.

I don't get it 

I think that if a toy of Derpy's design ever does get made, then Ditzy will probably be the name on the package since it's somewhat more kid-friendly than "Derpy".

Barricade get in a LOT of good one-liners in the next two updates, so the fun with the evil police car isn't going to stop here!

I did my homework on G1 Red Alert, and from what I can tell he does not have a different sensor system compared to any other Autobot. Rather, all the stuff he installs is external hardware (security cameras, hidden audio bugs, etc.). I personally think of Red Alert as sitting in one of those big security rooms with a billion screens, each screen having a different image, and Red constantly tries watching all of them at the same time. This was referenced when the Twins returned to The Owner with the Matrix, Red, and the ponies, when Red mentions the need for a billion Security Cameras.

Additionally, up to this point there has been nothing to suggest the ponies might be up to something. Also, there are NO PowerCore Combiners in the Collection at this point in the story as well; the three seen earlier were part of that "resistance" and have no way of communicating with the main group of TF's. As far as the main group is concerned, there are NO PCC's in the house, and so no reason to try and detect them as well. So, in a nutshell that's why nobody seems to notice Derpy nor one of the Combaticon drones (the "recon" drone) on their sensor net or whatever.

As for your ideas as to who could be spying upon them, none of them are right. Sideways isn't supposed to show up again for a LONG while, the MMS is active in the area but there's nothing to suggest they're watching, Lockdown is part of The Collection, I have no current plans for getting any version of Classics Megatron (well, the Rage over Cybertron version of WfC Megs looks awesome, but I won't get him in time for this arc even if he was planned), and last I checked CI's Gundam forces just got really decimated by Titan-version Mk.II (I can't recall his name) and also have no way of traveling across dimensions even if some of them managed to survive. But what's the deal with Sentinel Prime? I've yet to pick up any version of him (preferably the Leader Class), so don't count on him showing up, but I thought he was a good guy because he's a Prime?

 

lets just say that what i feel about the my little ponies is similar (or worse) to what shane feels about busou shinkis...

i just needed to "get them out of my system"

Notes:

1. I didn't notice the odd white line hovering towards the top in the second-to-last panel until just now. I'll get it fixed later. I THINK is was a line for a text box Skids was supposed to say, but I scratched it for time-saving reasons.

2. I LOVE making the little gun smoke effects. It's so easy yet it makes things look SO much cooler.

3. The "hot nuts" line from the top of this post is referencing the Hub's "summer" commercial, where Prime Megatron, Pinkie Pie, and some guy wearing a "JERK" T-shirt are singing about Summer. Of course, Megatron's throaty voice makes "nights" sound more like "nuts".
