Sorry, I didn't catch you mentioned Gundam in your original post. I only saw the Warhammer part.

    Notes:

    1. Yes, I know "Leadership" is not spelled correctly in the first panel. I'll try to get around to fixing it.

    2. There is going to be a LOT of new character introducing going on in this strip, as I've got a backlog of new figures I need to introduce. Heck, you guys won't even be seeing Roddy, not-Cyclonus (I've specifically left out any mention of his name in this strip for later reasons), Cliffjumper, or the PCC's for a while. They'll appear in time when need be, but for now they're out of the picture.

    3. I've also specifically left the identities of the "attackers" a secret as well. Yes, they are allied with the MMS currently, but the question of wether or not they ARE the MMS remains to be seen. There MIGHT be a clue or two hidden in there somewhere, though;)

    4. For reference, the Gundam is the "Gundam Airmaster Burst", from the Gundam X series, thus why he is refered to as simply "Airmaster". The figure I'm using is a custom painted-and-blacklined Airmaster Burst kit that was originally released back in the 90's, but articulation is still better than over half of my Transformer collection. I bought the kit for $5 from HLJ.

    5. I'm also working on a new sig pic for this arc as well, although due to story reasons I might not reveal it until later.

This is shaping up well. You have my attention!

Also, I appreciate the great job you did with Hot Rod’s eyes in the 8th panel. For a second, I thought that was his natural light piping. Then I remembered Hasbro removed the clear plastic from BiS Hot Rod's head! Very well done, sir. :D

I had the Airmaster Burst model when I was little. Unfortunately, it was on the floor, covered by a blanket. I didn't see it, until I stepped on it.

3 months, That's a long a time since the last upgrade.

So this is a Matrix Quest saga in a way?

Removing the translucent plastic from Hot Rod for the BIS release, even if it was for a "movie-accurate" color scheme, is still something I consider a stupid move on Hasbro's part. The eyes I could deal with, but neutering the whole cabin interior simply so the paint would look solid? Ugh.

Well, like I said, the thing is only $5 at HLJ (shipping costs more than the actual figure, though, so I'd recomend buying at least one other item to save on shipping, as it is not a $10 kit), so you can rebuild the Airmaster. I should also mention that now you are older, you could also undertake doing some painting of the Gundam to make it look loads better.

I have to give Grimlock_13 some credit there, since he's the one who has his Ironhide dealing B*tchslaps left and right because of the hand design. That's where I got the idea for Cliffjumper to slap not-Cyclonus, the hand design is almost the exact same, difference being CJ's hands are made to hold 5mm peg weapons.

Considering where this is going, I doubt it (I've never actually read Matrix Quest, so I don't know). Considering none of my figures can actually hold the damn thing (save Unicron, who holds it in his palm because I don't have a G1 Prime to stick it inside), it gets written out pretty quickly.

That was a d!ck move on Hasbro's part. I always thought the interior molded into Hot Rod's car mode, and most of the Classics Autobots really, was/are what set him/them apart from most of the more modern Classics-style figures we have nowadays. No one cares about molded in seats and steering wheels anymore... Well, hardly anyway. : /

Just an FYI, RtS G2 Laser Prime holds the BiS/Galavtron Reissue die cast matrix perfectly. One of my viewers pointed it out to me on YouTube, and when I tried it, it looked great. Can be loose at certain angles, but it stays wedged in there pretty good. :thumbs2:

Not saying you should track down a G2 Prime just to do that, but if you ever happen upon one, it's a happy co-incidence that he holds the BiS Matrix really well. :D

Robticon, the reason they made all those parts solid-colour is that the clear plastic broke too often. Rigid clear plastic is significantly more brittle than rigid solid-colour plastic. A good demonstrator of this would be CD cases.

You make a valid point. But if that's the case, then why do RtS Bumblebee and Generations Red Alert have huge chunks of clear plastic as the roofs to their car modes? I would think those parts would be more fragile, seeing as they actually move around or are highly involved in the Transformation. More involved than Hot Rod's clear plastic in his head and in the roof/windshield of his car mode, anyway.

That much considered, I'm not sure I understand where you've drawn your conclusion from... :)

These changes are made on a case-by-case basis, as far as I know. So presumably Hasbro got more reports of Roddy's roof breaking.

Totally awesome. Great start to a new story arc.

And Airmaster Burst is a great choice. :)  Nice to see a 1/100 scale version in play. This shall be fun!

    Thanks!:D

Also, I don't own any 1/100 Gundams. My Airmaster Burst is actually the no grade 1/144. I just did a lot of detail work on it when I realized how crappy all the dark blue was instead of the gray, plus all the other missing details such as that green spot above the yellow crest (it's hard to see, but I DID paint that section green, as per the stock photography).

As a figure, though, it easily can pose better than my HG 1/144 Rick Dias (Blue ver.) and the Transformation gimmick is pretty decent with only two instances of partsforming.

Good snappy start with Cyc & Rod. I see Cyc can't finish his Evil Villain speeches, any more than Fallen could. It's fate. :D

Losing the Matrix was Probably Bad. :ev:  Of course, I'm quite sure whatever genocidal nightmare creatures Cliff & crew are fighting against, they won't lay a single hand on it. Because nobody's luck could be that bad, right? :D

Great to see the PCC's roaring into action, too!

    New Enemys and new arrivals.

Yay, the poor Duocons where not the usual welcoming committee (or are they reserved for Busou Shinki arrivals?)

so now there are 2 Cyclonus' in the collection, with the BIS version acting like a Christmas Toy.

Will Dropshot be allowed to finally cut loose on the Gundam/ MMS squad?

don't tell me, the MMS is making another move on the Miracle Code, despite Ric Dom's assurances that the MMS would not make another move

If it is, there had better be an epic storming of the MMS HQ.
