Sorry for the delay. Thirteen pages, counting the forward, today. I'll post another ten or so in around three days, and then another ten or so around another three days after that. Some of these uploaded a little blurry, but I'll try to fix that tomorrow. Issue two, part two:
Some of the dialog is coming off a bit stiff, but other than that, no complaints here. I look forward to the rest of this!
Cool stuff, can't wait to see more. Nice to see you using some sets to do the shooting, are you going to build rag tag bases for them?
I'm liking it so far. I like the use of props and 'locations.' Can't give any advice not already said, and otherwise the story is running pretty smooth. Quite interested to see what happens with this aerial fight.
Thanks for the replies! I just now noticed that page two was in page three's spot, and page three was in page two's spot! That's why the dialog basically went "Yay, it's working...I hope it work!". Fixed that, so it should flow okay now. If Prowl and Snarl's dialog is what you're saying is stiff, that's on purpose. I'm basing Prowl's personality on G1 Marvel Prowl, so he's a very rigid and follow the rules to the letter type of mech; that's why I gave him a stilted speech pattern. Snarl is very uptight and haughty, similar to Prowl, but not as strict. Basically he just thinks he's a little bit better than all the other mechs he works with. If it's something else, let me know. Anyways, thanks for the constructive criticism; I'm always trying to improve my writing.
Sorry for the double post, I forgot to reply to this. Yep, I plan on setting up some small camp sites around the Energon mines. I'm still trying to figure out exactly what I'm going to do for them, but I have a pretty good idea. This project sure is time consuming!
Nice and getting nicer! I'm hinting you're actually using toys, but then use photoshop/gimp to make the comic look "comicky". XD (I could be wrong) Anyway, very nicely done!! Can't wait for more!
Glad you like it! Actually, I just take pics of the toys outside (usually in the morning - it just gets too hot here to do it comfortably any other time of day), use gimp for all of the effects (laser blasts, the energy from the mining shots, the flight scenes, ect), and then I use Comic Life to make it look comic-ish.
Just thought I'd tell you all that the next update will be up Friday or Saturday. I have about twenty or so pages that range from finished to nearly finished now, so I'm just spacing out the updates to give me time to work on additional pages. So, if the update isn't here Friday night, check back again Saturday afternoon.
Can't wait either way! And neat technique on using ComicLife to make your comics..."comicky!" XD i find it very unique.
Issue one, part three. Would have been here sooner, but there's been thunder for the past few hours, so I wasn't able to get on the computer.
I felt it was a little early for the reveal, but nice touch giving him the name of another spy. I wonder if that's a recovered Bantor or somebody else offscreen.
I think the exterior shots work very well here. Interesting to see so many non-show characters getting a part in the comic as well.
Ah, a spy! Not quite the 'double' spy just yet--so far as we know. Still a cool take on that toy character.
