As a Fantabulous birthday treat to myself, I present you all with The OOO. I don't care about trying to get the effects fancy, as long as the funny is there. Old school. *pleads with the heavens that the funny is there!* #1 Ok, fire away you scurvy dogs!
I've been waiting for you to get started on these! Glad you decided to go with Beachcomber, SO much awkward comedy gold with him! Thanks for the nod too You'd better update often!
Well I don't know about how often I can update, since I don't have any plans on doing anything long running, so I just gotta think of funny stuff, but I do have the rest of BC's chair dilemma shot, just gotta dialogue it. Glad you liked it, since I sure love your strips!
Nope, not your G1 BC here, but I do have a soft spot for my little beaten up G1 toy of him, and wanted to use him, so I upgraded to this one for convenience sake. I only have a son, but my older sister gave me a ton of generic kiddy toys a while back, so I'll be raiding those boxes looking for more funny!
Dear Sir, FINALLY!! Refreshing jokes, nutheaded Beachcomber & Baby Chair! NOW, that is what I call really fantabulous funny! I need my next strip fix....now go make me another
Hey! 'Bout time you started a comic. I got some good laughs out of it. Definately like Beachcomber. The only thing I noticed is that the order of the speech bubbles is a little unclear in some panels
Hey thanks for the kind words guys. And I know that my dialogue was hard to follow in a few places, still figuring out how to do that. It seems I can't move the boxes around after I move on to the next one, and so looks like I'll have to do some more homework on that. And amazing how a pink highchair makes your lightbox go from mostly white pictures to pink all over, but they looked good on the camera display... I got some more stuff coming soon, but I gotta say that I don't plan on updating nearly as often as most of the serial comics are updated. I just wanna have some fun, and it seems as though a lot of you guys are all getting burned out lately. But here's a shorty for ya: #2
beware of the slumlebee and softimus prime. megatron knows them well, he fears them for they tempt him so and just curious ^^^^
Crackin' start Otispq. Beachcomber ranting on about how he will command respect whilst sitting in a PINK high-chair had me gwarfing away to myself at my desk. My co-workers are now more convinced than ever that I don't have enough work to do... Yeah, it does seem like there's a fair bit of burnout going on here, which is a shame. Like you, I just wanna have fun and, though I understand you need to keep momentum going with a "serial" comic like mine, I'm certainly not going to blow a fuse trying to hit a deadline every week. Maybe we need a sticky that just says: "It's okay to take a break. Delayed updates will not kill readers."
I just saw my sons book, and thought if I were big bad UBB then seeing soft and cuddly Bumblebees would be worse than death. And if he were to wander into my sons room, the sight of seeing how often Slumblebee gets kisses from its 2 yr. old owner really would kill him. As for Grimlock_13, we live about 3-4 hours away from each other, but when he came to town about a month ago we met up for lunch. G13 is a really cool guy, and I have nothing but good things to say about him, and would sooo buy him lunch! Shoot, he can crash at my house anytime! Glad you got some laughs at work, as for momentum I enjoy the serials very much, and it doesn't take much to go back a page or two to re-read the last strip and refresh the memory of what's going on. but it is nice when they are updated regularly. I like the shorty's and oneshots for good hard laughs and ease of creation, just find something humorous, snap a pic and add a caption and your done. I like the idea of the sticky, Shane sure needs one right about now as his Laments thread is about to implode from all the weight being tossed around in there. Give the guy a break already. He said he'd be back, it's not like he just bailed on everybody...you know? #3
What program are you using for this? If it's anything that has layers what I do is make each text area it's own layer, get all of them in the general place I want them then make sure they are all arranged properly. Then I just go back down to the picture layer, create a new layer and draw all the boxes all at once.
O3: UBB vs. childrens lit is . But we all know the truth: Slumblebee would kick UBB's tailgate in. He's indestructible. Deep Thoughts with Megatron, eh? (It seemed "quotely" so I googled it.) Should be very but by unhappy chance the first association was the D.H. Lawrence story "The Rocking-Horse Winner", and that makes me . Something with the rocking horse and thinking of needing more money...I wonder if Jack Handey had that story in mind...
