Thank you!! Glad you loved it! :D  :D

By the way, the song that was used during Tengu's training is this:
"Guardians At The Gate" by Audiomachine.

It's a really great epic song. Hope you all like it! :)

Yeah, a rather short update... I now present to you ClawZord and OctoZord. I could've come up with a more lengthy conversation between the two, with more sinister plans. But heck, that would have ruined all the fun that will soon follow. So, I had to keep the update this short. >.<" I already snapped photos for the next update, and it's long. :D  Just.. gotta see if I have the time to work on it. haha..

Thanks Ranger Silver 6. To be honest I had no idea what personalities I should give these two guys. At the last minute, I came up with this. >.<"

    Notes:

    1. This update was not meant to be here yet, but I thought I should do it for a couple of reasons. My KO Deluxe Class Armada Optimus has this bad shoulder problem where the plastic at the right shoulder has broken off due to.. let's say "over-playing" with the figure. Plus it's a KO so the plastic was not so durable to begin with.

I've tried to super-glue it back into place. It worked though a few months back, but the pieces broke again and this time I could not remedy the problem. :(  So yes, this update is the truth about my poor Optimus figure. >.<

This will probably be the last time this Armada figure will be in the comics, so I felt that I should make this update before the proposed update I mentioned before.

    2. Not only is Optimus the only figure which had major fix issues. I recently fixed my Black Spider-Man's leg. It was loose, so I thought it was a normal loose ball joint. So I super-glued the "ball" of the joint, only to discover that it was not the problem with the "ball". The "ball socket" had cracked and the cracked caused the entire socket to enlarge more, hence why his leg popped off so easily. Anyway, long story short, I've fixed it with super glue on the socket. :)

One other problem I could not fix was my Generations Drift figure. A picture says a thousand words right?

Gruesome right? Firstly, this photo was taken about 1 year ago. What happened was I was transforming Drift from robot to car mode (after not playing with him for almost a year). I felt that he was unusually hard to transform at the leg. But I managed to transform him anyway. When I transformed him to robot mode, I felt that the leg was still tight and bent at an awkward angle. I looked closely and saw that the white "stick" piece of plastic which is wrapped around by the "clear plastic" bit in the leg, was ssooooo stuck by the clear plastic, that instead of the clear bit moving around the white bit, the entire foot warped the white plastic piece! I'm not sure if this makes sense, but from the picture, you can get an idea of what happened. So with this problem, and the leg bending at an awkward angle already, I decided to rip off the white piece. I tried to put layers of super glue on the sides of the broken off pieces to add friction to the parts when I re-assembled them. But it didn't help.. Now the foot is a floppy mess and simply dangles when not put on a flat surface. :(

    3. So yeah, my toys are old and these signs indicate how fragile they really are. Perhaps I was unlucky to get the worse copies of the figures, or perhaps I didn't handle my toys very well. Also there's the thing about aging for toys.. Right now. Tengu's arms are pretty loose now, mind you. Camshaft has a weak right ankle now, and Slayer and Brawl... I'm surprised they're still intact!

In any case, because these problems have arisen, and the older toys are starting to get looser joints, this made me want to stop the serious tone comics so that I won't have to stress my toys any more than they already have. Of course, if I get too bored, I might go back to the serious tone once in a while. :)

    4. Ack! Very long notes.. Sorry about that. Anyway, I hope the short update was enjoyable. :)

i'm sorry about your KO optimus... i recently had to do something similar with my KO wing zero (wing pylons too broken to fix again) so i had no choice but to kill him in mah comic... *sigh*

damn... that means i'll have to put most of my toys on a serious "transform-ups" training regime... because at the pace i'm working on my own comic...

good luck with repairs! (or replacements in worst case)

I'm guessing he;s getting upgraded to either an official Armada Bendy Prime or the Henkei version you have in your collection?

Sucks about how your toys aren't that durable.

Sorry to hear about that, Zudon.

I've been lucky as far as QC issues go with my guys. At worst some floppy ball joints (Easily fixable). I DID get that one movie Bonecrusher who had no head.

But knockoffs like your Armada Prime... yeah, I have had terrible luck with those. I got a set of Constructicons that I essentially had to BREAK to put into vehicle mode or combined mode. There was the knockoff Star Saber who crumbled in my hands (Was okay, we got him for his sword, which was decent, to replace the warped on on my friend's legit Star saber), the oversized RiD Build Team who were lacking necessary joints to transform or combine. The same for the oversized RiD Megatron...

Still, given the hints you've dropped in the comic, I'm hoping we get to see a couple of figs that have been waiting in the wings for some time now ^^

Sorry to hear about your KO Gundam figures. I know how that feels like. I used to own a few KO 1/144 scale Gundam W figures. One was a ShenLong Gundam, and I didn't cut out the face right from its spruce, so what I ended up with was a faceless ShenLong Gundam (Hey, it looked nastily cool!).

The thing was.. I played too much with these Gundam figures until the joints just broke one by one. >.< So, lessons learnt: (1) Don't play with Gundam figures!! (2) Buy originals.

I guess on the bright side, your figures in the comics can always upgrade and transform-up? :lol

    All the best halconfenix!

    Thanks saberconvoy!

Well, I have a couple of other Optimus figures I could use. Now I just got to think about whether I should retain Optimus' personality or... do something to it. xD That'll help me decide which figure I can replace him with.

    Thanks Autovolt 127~

Yikes.. Sorry to hear about your KO toys, especially Star Saber. For it to crumble like that, the quality must have been really bad.

Come to think of it, that was the exact same problem I had with my KO BlackWarGreymon. When I opened him up from his KO packaging, he literally fell apart on me. His foot has 2 joints: ankle ball joint and upper ankle up/down swivel joint, and the up/down swivel joint was so loose that BlackWarGreymon always fall either frontwards or backwards. >.> What's worse is his joints and pegs/tabs aren't sized or located correctly, so I could not transform him into BlackAgumon like the original could, especially the wing bits which would become BlackAgumon's face. Another problem was these wing bits always popped off! Solution? (1) Use strings (actually a very old phone charger cable :lol ) to tie the wings into place. (2) Super glue the damn swivel joints at the ankles so he stops falling on me. It worked somewhat. :lol

And you're right about this giving me an advantage to bring in more toys in my shelf. ;)  I don't want to just bring in a horde of them. I'm thinking carefully about what personalities to give them. If not, I'd get random stuff like what I did to the McD toys. xD

    ----------------------

It's comforting to see other comic readers, makers, and collectors alike who also have KO toys issues. Thanks for sharing about your KO toys guys. I appreciate it. :)

And the thing is, even original toys are facing the same problems, so you got to take good care of your toys. Really good care. Also, plastic quality is degrading by the months it seems due to economic situations, so that'll make the toys even less durable! I'm especially scared for the FOC Voyager class figures. I already own a Soundwave figure (his box was shown in a few of the latest updates if you looked carefully :D ), and I accidentally pushed in his "back part" to fill up his chest, without realising his tank front wheel at his side was in the way. I heard a very loud "CLANK" sound. Well, the chest was filled and the wheel was out of the way. But the part where the spike on the wheel hit the back piece, now has a serious plastic warp mark on it. Can you believe it? It was simply pieces of the toy knocking against each other, and the plastic already warped... >.<

Anyways, I'm starting to get really busy with work, so I'll work on the next update another time. Wouldn't want to leave you guys with a major cliffhanger. ;)  Till then, see you around!

We`ve all been there...had a TF break :(  Always a minor tragedy when it occurs. Have you considered some 2-part epoxy? I`ve had tremendous success with that and small nails and pins :)  Drop me a PM with some close-up pics and of Prime and I may be able to help you out. Drift actually looks repairable to me, again, with some good (ie, not the stuff you get at walmart or home depot) 2-part epoxy, and a bit of file work to slightly enlarge the clearance on the clear plastic bit.

    Uh huh..

Thanks StarFire MK2 (Got to mention "MK2" now that there's another Starfire. :lol ). I haven't tried 2-part epoxy before. Sure I'll give you a holla when I need help k. :)

There's a problem with Drift though. If you read how I tried to fix the broken parts, I actually superglued the sides of the clear plastic WITH the white plastic in it, to try to add friction to the broken off part of the white piece, thinking that it would hold the foot in place better. So in that sense, I've already dug Drift's grave...? The white plastic bit may not be removed from the clear plastic bit with the super glue there.... Ooops. >.<
