Freakin' sweet stuff, just read through all 30 pages of this. The writing, photography and effects are superb, I think I need to get to grips with GIMP v2. *subscribes*
Once again, thanks for reading and thanks for all your comments. Well, what happened to Perceptor was… Groovy. Good to know I’m hitting the right notes for the dialogue. Thanks guys. Well the Plasma Catapult is actually the only ranged weapon in the current Autobot inventory that Grimlock will touch, as he considers the rest to be “stupid pop-guns.” Thanks dude. Ah Prowl. His name is actually Cybertronian for “the rod up that guy’s exhaust port must have a rod up its exhaust port…” Heh heh. Yeah, Prowl’s stance is his “I’m all official doing official things with lots of lovely rules and regulations” stance. The at ease stance was the best kind of “on duty” pose I could get the Alt to hold, so it’s a little out of context, but hopefully it works to re-enforce Prowl’s character as a guy who lives and breathes his duty. Anyone remember Arnold Judas Rimmer and his love of Space Corps Directives? Well Prowl’s a bit like that. But less of a cowardly smeg-head and more of an effective, if somewhat anal, mid-ranking officer. That is indeed the end of this particular ‘log, I'm afraid. I do love doing the monologues, but I’m trying not to overuse them as a tool. They will be a recurring feature, but they won’t show up in every update. Careful, you can fall off those seat edges if you’re not (thwump). Oh dear… Cheers dude. And GIMPv2 is indeed very, very nice.
This is exactly why I love Grimlock. None of that post-movie clown stuff. Great update. Great banter. And I just looked up Arcturians. Hope the parakeets aren't as ugly as the main sentient species on their planet.
Situation normal, all f'ed up. And of course the two responsible parties have enough sense to keep quiet and hope it blows over. That's great. Very lively. Lots of fun with the various characters bickering over the radio. You could probably start with this particular strip and get a pretty good handle on just what these 5 Autobots are like.
As always, thanks for taking the time to comment, and thanks for reading. Yeah, the comic does get quite talky on occasion. If it’s any consolation, the talky episodes buy me more time to work out the special effects and choreography for the fight sequences and the…other…things I have in store. Dinobots + heavy weapon emplacements = inevitable test firing. And explosions. And whooping. Ah the Arcturian parakeet. Fans of S/F literature might have heard of this animal before... Thanks guys! And gal. Yeah, I think the Dinobots just made Mirage's day.
I love this comic. Got me back into Alternators, too. ...and I maintain my claim that Sunstreaker is a mobster. Look at his Universe 2.0 pictures, he even has a pinstripe suit! XD
Great dialogue and even greater dialogue. Your dialogue is what's best about this comic. Your set is dvd's and stuff, and the effects are superb, but the way you make me see real characters instead of toys, that's the real magic.
Man, this comic makes me wish that I could have bought more Alternators than two. I could have bought a Jazz Alternator but my dad had to sway me to buy a Bionicle.
