I have a soft spot for "heroic bad boys" and Mirage certainly fits that bill. You also have to respect his abilities as a marksman and a non-conformist. He is true to himself, even if it does make life more difficult.

Yes, I used to see them on the store shelves, when out buying cheese and string, and string cheese, and other things that were neither string nor cheese, and say "Gee, those look cool...but they're $20...cool...$20...vacillate...vacillate..." And then at the start, they were more...$25 IIRC.

Fortunately, there was a window of opportunity at the end of the line, when some of the later waves got clearanced at $12-$15, and I was able to get a few. Very nifty they are, even now that we've had so many great classic characters at the Deluxe size (which I prefer to the larger sizes). They're a little too complex to have a lot of "fiddle value". I like to transform them, but I don't do it as often as with simpler toys.

They're great PR tools. When people see that the model car on the shelf actually changes into a robot, they have to see you do it again, and take it down and fiddle with it to see if they can make it work, too. My father-in-law was quite fascinated by the concept.

Could we move on with the story sorry if sounding rude but I think this voting of who too kill off should be over by now but not my comic so I can't be in charge.
