Yep, that's the plan. In some ways it's going to be a lot harder because the shots will take more time to set up and more time in post production, but I'm hoping that the upgrade in terms of the quality of the visuals will be worth it.

I will kinda miss having my Alts take cover behind whiskey boxes and Battlestar DVD's though...

So covert it's overt. I like that, that's an awesome line! Could I steal it?

Yeah Ravage and Soundwave had a very entwined existence in the OOTDL backstory. The thing with Ravage is that he's happiest when pulling strings in the shadows, and often does his best work when no-one realises he was even involved. So other bots often focused their attention on the big blue and silver Decepticon with the synthesised voice and the creepy face, and paid little attention to the slinking, unimportant "minion" who lived in his chest.
Which was just the way Ravage wanted it...

And dude, you gotta get a JagRavage. Every house needs a sleek, smirking kitteh prowling low on the collection shelves. His cat mode is great and his alt mode is gorgeous.

Even his frequent stream-of-consciousness freakouts were understandable, and pretty much what the audience might be thinking in that situation. But when the scrap gets real, so does he. I love how passionate he was about defending the Autobot ideal, to the point of standing up to Grimlock and The Sunstreaker, the two Autobots most likely to rearrange his parts.

I love this guy. Keep up the amazing work, Coolhand.
Thanks man, glad you like him.
Streak is a fun character to have around, and he's very much the idealist of the Autobots. Those principles are what helped him deal with the horrors and the dark choices he faced during the war, and it's why he was prepared to face down Sunny and Grim; if the Autobots discard the principles they fought for, then all of that hell and suffering was for naught.
That's the way Streak sees it, anyhow.

It won't be the last time we see that side of him.

Ah Steve Jablonsky. That dude sure knows how to compose music.
I do tend to write to music and the TF Movie soundtracks got a LOT of play during the script-writing sessions on OOTDL. The scores to those films are genuinely fantastic, evocative pieces of audio chocolate.

Wish I had the money. So instead I'll simply live vicariously through your webcomics for the foreseeable future.

Awesome. Before OotDL, I hadn't paid too much attention to Bluestreak/Silverstreak. At most, I used him in a TF tabletop roleplaying game campaign as a comic relief NPC -- a dispatcher at Autobot Command who was a friendly guy but too much of a chatterbox to be useful to the player characters. I just used him when I wanted to troll the other players. But your webcomic explored his personality in a way I find really captivating. Which is awesome, because every character has hidden depths if you know where to look.

Yeah, as much as I've disliked the live action TF movies as a general rule, one aspect with which I've never found fault was the orchestral score. It genuinely sounds the way a Transformers movie ought to sound. If only the movies' quality could live up to the music. "Out of the Dead Lands" does.

I found one Alt Arcee custom today that I though genuinely worked: it's in a gallery on TFW, and it uses the Alt Meister mold. The RX-8's curves are used to excellent effect. But that'd require painting and sculpting, admittedly; for the price of commissioning a custom figure, you might as well just buy the PE Arcee. So ... I guess I'm unhelpful on this matter. But count me in as another fan who'd like to see Arcee and/or another female TF in the story. No pressure, though.

Ah, but there's always the archives for that, I think.

Considering the fact that I stole it and perverted it in the first place, I tend to think it fair game.

I love the upgrade look and this is going to be an amazing season. Can't wait to read more.

Any tips of newbies that want to use more set pieces? I have the IGear Computer set ( Teletraan1) but I want a bit more to add to it.

I'm late (and new!) to the show here, but I just wanted to say, holy scrap, it's been totally worth it going waaaay back to the beginning to just catch up with now. My sh*t is officially lost. Your comic is amazing, Coolhand. Just, wow.

Also: soooo jazzed to see more Prowl! <3

When a Decepticon supply depot is invaded, the overworked clerks of the war effort avenge themselves in the only way Decepticon administrative assistants can...! Mostly OCs, three canon guys. No pairings, no slash, plenty of violence and assholery, G1.

Oh man, I LOVE the idea of Streak being used to troll the players in a Role Play game! That's awesome.

That is a sweet custom. I think it illustrates nicely how versatile the Alternator molds were; a touch of paint and a tactical head sculpt and pretty much all of the G1 cast is attainable. Oh, what could have been, had Hasbro just kept the line going a little longer...
...having said that, given that MP Sideswipe is an officially licensed Lambo around the same size as an alt, I'm personally celebrating the return of Alternators.

And yeah, I think Arcee is gonna have to show up sooner or later. Enough people want to see her and I think I've found an OOTDL take on her character that will pep the story up a tad.

Hey no shame in that. As Quentin Tarrentino said, "Good artists copy. Great artists steal."

Me Grimlock say: Coolhand should know.

Thanks Grim. Love you too.

I think the only piece of advice I can give (only just started down the set road myself) is that you don't need to be an arts and crafts genius to fabricate a good looking set. I've used virtually no paint or glue in New Iacon so far, just kept my eyes open for ordinary everyday things that might look like bits of a base when photographed from the right angle and give a subtle gimping to hide what they are. Pepper shakers, old PDA's bits of plastic storage cases, pencil sharpeners can all look like plasma tubes, control consoles, base walls and science gear in the right context.

Also, splattering lens flare and supernova GIMP effects on a set works wonders to hide the rough edges.
