Well they've done it, its all finally hit the fan... Its been destroyed and all its pieces are flying everywhere and killing everyone it sets its sights on like that one movie with the killer car tire.

Wow. The message in this is so funny but true. It's strange for me because you wrote this at a time when my brother and I were discussing the same issue. I happen to fall in the sort of "go with the flow" thing because I grew tired of being critical of everything and decided to just have fun. My brother on the other hand is a true, pure movie and story critic. Nothing ever gets by him.

So even if we both can see a product isn't as intelligent or interesting as it should be and it gets praised for being amazing when it actually isn't, he'll call it out whilst I look for different things that make it enthralling for some people. I think I can take pride in being a devil's advocate during every one of those instances. There is still the occasional moment I decide to agree with him if something is crap.

On the subject of actual reviewers, yea. This update hits the nail on the head. It is on point. They are a bunch of a-holes but they have to be. Way too many crappy films make it through and they continually get made because they make money and not because they're good. I could go on and on about this but man, Findie. Good points.

 

Ah, yes. For every critic who simply offers a different, more in-depth viewpoint, there's one of those snobby, higher-than-thou critics with a deplorable "I'm right, you're wrong" viewpoint.
