And here's the next installment! I've got a new camera, so some shots were with the new one, some with the old. Also, my lighting situation isn't the best. That's the next thing for me to try and improve on.
Your doing a great job of giving the characters good personalities and characterization, and your special effects are still great! I look forward to your next update!
Ahh...this explains a lot about that lastshot, but raises even more. Liking Arnval and Strarf's personality here! Arnval seems to be rather mild mannered, while Strarf is obviously the more hot-headed of the two. And great explosion FX! I'm not having much luck trying to get mine to look right. It's missing something though... I think Pun-3X adds quite a bit of debris and smoke to his boomy FX.
You've reaised very high expectations from your strips and now I know why, they rock!! Keep up the goodwork!
Thanks, I'm kinda proud of the explosions myself. I still need to find the right brush and technique to do good smoke and debris, I'm basically learning as I go. But these ones are head and shoulders above any I've managed so far. As for Arnval and Strarf, I'm trying to play on the whole 'Devil and Angel' angle, while mixing in a bit of Dirty Pair comraderie. In other words, these two will hardly ever agree on ANYTHING, but when the chips are down they've got each other's backs.
Okay, got some more to post! I'm not entirely happy with my motion blur techniques, especially for that damn box *Sigh* Ah well, I'll improve as I go.
Woah. I mean, holy $#!+. Skywarp > the Hulk. If they don't get their super-modes working, like, NOW, and no Autobots show up in the next 30 seconds, what's left of the Shinkis will not be visible to the naked eye. (hey, I put "Shinkis" and "naked" in the same sentence without sounding perverted! Woo!) "What does it shoot, stern warnings?" XD And sorry, I have to do it. "This hand of mine glows with an awesome POWAH! Its burning grip tells me to defeat you! SHINIIIIIING PEA SHOOTERRRR!!!" lol Now, some feedback on the visuals. That was a very nice, accurate-looking HUD in the Skywarp's PoV panel. Now, earlier on when you edited in Skywarp's shadow; I won't get into lighting angles and how they skew shadow shapes and all the super-technical stuff, but I will say the shadow's nosecone tip got cut off. I can see the corresponding part on 'Warpie is cropped out of the picture, so just be careful.
