Cool stuff but you should use word balloons in your strips. I know you are capable! :thumb

Sure, hehe. This was more of a time thing than anything else, though. If I can't do it well, I just leave it out. At least this way it didn't look rushed. :)

. . . example of a word balloon from me:

I do appreciate your critique though buddy. :)  I'm always open to constructive criticism. :D

That's great! Thanks. :)  Keep it up. I love the Alternators, so a comic starring them on a regular basis sounds great.

    You're very welcome, man!

In terms of frequency, I'd say "semi-regular" would be a bit more accurate, as I'm a bit more devoted (right now) to my customs as well as other things in life interacting with things as well. However, as you know (and others), I've been intending on making more Alt/BT-related artwork for some time now . . . :thumb

Thanks for the support man; I REALLY appreciate it (and need it)! :D

Normally I use multiquotes (as I LOVE responding and interacting), but I'll just step outside my norm and go with the single quote here to respond, hehe. :) :

I may (or may not) go back and add word balloons to the previous strips (do you guys think they're well worth the treatment? Any suggestions on scripting changes, etc? Feel free to comment! ). Mostly, I started this thread for a few reasons:
    • Fun. In case some persons can't tell, I have a lot of fun with my work! I love to showcase my customs in "galleries" (see my sig), but it's not for the sole purpose to say, "Oh hey look at my magnificent piece of work"; rather it's my way of being able to share some things that are very much a labor of love and expression of my fandom and artistic creations.
    • Sequential art. A love of mine ever since I was a small child has been comic books. My first comic was a near authentic reprint of Action Comics #1 from a Nestle Quick promotion (it even feels like newspaper!). Since then, I've always really enjoyed comics as an artistic medium. Up until my second year or so of college, I wanted to pursue sequential illustration as a career. Long story short, I've been developing stories and such for my customs for quite some time (in the prewriting sense). These photo comics are merely a beginning of that experession and intent. I figured that I'd just go ahead and (finally) start a thread for them :)
    • Shameless plugs. I'll just be honest and admit it. Guilty as charged. I need all of the help I can get. Most of you guys know that extends beyond my artwork. 'Nuff said. :lol
    • Actual expression. Like I said, I've been working for a while on prewriting and such, but I've really buried my head into customs. I just felt it was time to do *something!*

I started the photo comics out just as a fart so to speak. They don't necessarily fit into the story I'm attempting to write, but they don't contradict it either. Also, my aim with my stories/cannon is not necessarily humor; it's fun as well as exploration of ideas along with [my attempt at] good writinig along the way. I love to write (as it's another spoke on the wheel of art, like the rest of existence), but I'm always a student as well [not just in writing, but in all things]. One of the core elements to my story(stories) is to keep something I feel is at the core of Transformers: light-hearted, but cool stories that are really good (clean) and fun.

I've been prewriting/developing ideas for nearly 3 years now, and believe it or not, I'm still not at the point where I would actually be writing the story itself. I plan on diving back into sequential art with illustrated linework. However, as you guys know I'm knee deep into customs. Part of this is rationalized that I'm actually building my cast of characters.

Also keep in mind this post is merely my statement of plans. I acknowledge that life happens as well as other things interacting with these things. I say that to offer a disclaimer that I'm not trying to build anyone's hopes up and just not deliver anything. However, I've spent a great deal of time with planning (prewriting) as well as actual development (e.g. my customs and random sketches, etc.). Also, it's a hobby :)

Anyways, enough of jibber-jabber. Talk to you guys again soon! Thanks SO much for all of your comments, critiques (not only in here), and support! :D

Well I think you'll feel right at home here, photocomics is definitely one of the more fun ways to express yourself in the realm of fictions and storytelling.

Hope to see this story of yours materialize in photocomic form soon. :D

As for your previous strips, I don't feel it necessary to add word bubbles to them, but if it bothers you, you should.

Thamks so much for the welcome and the imput. Photo comics isn't really my "thing", but they are enjoyable :)

Also, thanks for the input on the balloons. If nothing else, I always want to communicate clearly. :)
