Yeah, that one panel with Metroplex has to be my most favorite one I've done so far. Glad you like it! My daughter might have a different opinion if she saw it, though, since they're her toys... And, I know no one has asked, but I thought I'd address it anyway - as far as why some humanoids (The Doctor, Vincent, etc.) might be taller than some Transformers like Bumblebee. Well, yeah, there's no explanation, except that it's impossible to interact other toy lines with your Transformers at the correct scale. I should have more posted when I have time away from work.
to quote a board member: "That's so stupid it borders on ******ed" but what do you expect from a barbie doll.
i hate barbie dolls.... btw..... do you own them.... (that is the problem... there is something wrong when boys have barbies but its of for gals to have tf-s...)
No. The Barbie (who is actually Princess Aurora from Sleeping Beauty), the Care Bears and the My Little Ponies are all toys that belong to my 4 year old daughter. If you notice, chapter 3 had a lot of play houses and stuff, that was all taken in my daughters bedroom. There have been a few times when I was taking the photos for these comics that my daughter Leah got a little upset that my Transformers and her little girl toys weren't getting along together. So I had to play make up for a while with her, where my toys and her toys played house. It's what dads do, right? Not long after that, the first real Transformers movie trailer came out (I made these comics like a year ago) and it showed Ironhide emerge from a pool where a little girl was holding a My Little Pony. Leah immediately had flash backs of my picture taking and started freaking out that the giant Transformer was going to hurt the pony. So I had to go another round of playing house with my toys and hers. In short, no - I do not collect Barbies or the like. But I find it fun to terrorise my little girl's toys by having my Transformers beat the crap out of them.
hehe yeah man cheers ... Your little girl will thank you later in life for being such a kind dad..... cheers i hope i can be such a father too in the future....
Hey Cataclizm1, I really dig your signature. My wife and I have been really getting into Star Trek here lately because they show reruns late at night on Fox Saturdays and Sundays. We recently obtained all 10 of the Trek movies and we've been watching one each night after my daughter goes to bed. Tonight we'll be watching Star Trek 5, and I'm really loving all of the movies. I'm going to be sad in 2 nights from now when we get to Generations and Kirk and Co. get the boot for the Next Generation crew. I like the Next Generation stuff, but I really like the Kirk movies much better.
I've been meaning to compliment Cataclizm1 on the sig too. That expression on Spock's face is great. I've recently been going through the movies again myself, having not seen them in a long time. The first one is still slow, but not as bad as I remembered. Wrath of Khan is all kinds of awesome, and three is also much better than I remembered. I'd never actually seen the widescreen version before. Every other time I saw it was either pan and scan VHS or a cut up TV version. And nice comics with the care bears, etc. I enjoyed the Ultra Magnus/Scorponok argument the best. "You shut up. No you shut up! No you shut up!"
