Cast list has been moved to the first post and slightly updated. Also, not sure if this should go here or not, but I was playing around with the Special FX needed for combat scenes, mostly the blasters and stuff (I've made notes on what color and kind of FX would be needed for each character, so that, for example, Windcharger doesn't shoot purple beams one week and green lightning the next. Except Downshift, he's always changing things around). Here's a sample shot with the lasers and stuff added... Seven ghostly blasters hovering in the Hall of Fallen Heroes:
Uhm the biobed... it's familiar (whips out tricorder and scans) hmm no can't say hmm (if McCoy walks around the corner, I'm out) I love the idea you've got going here though
Wow. Simply incredible. I love the characters and backstory you've so painstakingly set up, and not forgetting the awesome background CGs. Excellent!
Awwww fiddlesticks...you took my idea of cg backgrounds (you didn't think I was gonna have all of my characters on that white back drop for each and every scene?) Seriously, great work there Valandar. did you do the Autobot memorial statues in 3d? if so what 3D program do you use? how do you compost this strip? Do you import the pictures into the 3d program or just render out the back grounds and put it together in Photoshop? Also for a back drop, I use a white window shade that I bought pretty cheaply from Walmart. It is a bit more durable than paper. I am intrigued with how the story will pan out. Can't wait for more...
Well, Seawing, first of all I'm using a combination of 3D Studio Max and Poser for the renderings. I render the BG's then photo the toys then composit in Photoshop. As for the Autobot statues... ...See, I play an old superhero RTS/RPG called Freedom Force, and I have made many, many meshes for it - mostly of Transformers. I simply took some of those game meshes, used the color texture as a bump map, and gave them a diffuse map of a tan marble. And I just got four pieces of posterboard (white, black, neon orange, and neon green) I'm going to use to composite things, using whichever posterboard is appropriate for the shot.
hehe I just didn't come out and say it yeah it's a Star Trek TOS biobed hehe.. I had one for a while.. sold it... for a long time I had a McFarlane 8 inch James Hetfield touching a coors bottle while laying on the bed
And the next installment - with a twist in the action! (And the guide in the first post is updated, too.)
awesome job there wondering if g1 Ironhide is back, or Prime's reporting a personal lubricant issue...
Very nice. That's one way to write Thrust out. So are they drawing sparks directly from the Allspark itself?
