ergh. I was going to post a link to a custom that I THINK was on Transtopia, but I can't find it. Guy chopped CR Black Convoy's hands off and attached (with the balljoints intact, no less) poseable gundam hands. I'm pretty sure they were from a Master Grade kit, not scratchbuilt. Anyway, you might find some help there, you might not.

 

I'm not chopping off the hands from my toys.
