you know, if this happened in the film, there'd be no end to the "how dare he use our precious sentinel prime as cannon fodder!" "how dare he ruin ironhide more by making him a traitor to the primes!" "optimus just wanted to retain command and told ironhide to murder sentinel when it was least like a coup." "the real ironhide wouldn't kill a prime!" and "how dare he just kill off leonard nimoy's second transformer character just to make the autobots MORE murderous!" bitching instead.



still, cool sequence, even if ironhide's facial scarring is absent as usual.  

 

Oh, I know! Especially since they'd have to 'replace' who he shot in the back, likely with the Twins. So no one would care.  

As for the facial scarring, some of it's moulded into the face. The lopsided centerpiece and the 'lazy' optic. I decided not to go too heavy with any more of it, since the head detail is frikkin' awesome! I did give him the metallic dry brush treatment to give it all some wear (getting rid of his blue jeans was of the utmost priority!   )

Just caught up on the story, great as ever.   and the ironhide mini comic was perfect

Man, leader Ironhide looks SO GOOD with that custom paint job. It just goes to show what a difference paint can make to a figure.

I mean yeah, the actual figure itself is a design abomination, but at least it would have LOOKED pretty...

There will be soon. Admittedly, I've been putting a LOT of time into my new house, and I've only been able to sneak some new pictures in periodically. I just finished up the major part of this sequence, so I'm going to be trying to hit photoshop and put some new pages together. I think I'll have some updates end of this week, at the very least.
