    Well, best I can offer you is that these aren't in synch with the stories of G1/RiD/Armada/other alternate TF uni's. This is very much a different world. In such that they're aware they are in a house, in a room, fighting in the kitchen, driving/flying down a hallway, up on a table, and so on. All those cartoon/comic adventures didn't happen to them.

    So what happened to the cartoon Gears? Death, smelting pool, never heard from again...something like that.

    My Gears? He's best friends with Strongarm. Be very afraid.

    I consider this matter closed. Hopefully you feel the same. If not...poor you. :D
