Thanks. You worked in the gaming industry? O.O I've heard horror stories of its slave-driving nature. Good that you got out of there when you did, then. Always ironic that creation process of a product meant to entertain is completely unentertaining. As I hear it, when it comes to crunch-time, it's life-sapping all across the board, no matter the department... Don't let our ramblings stop you. If you are able to, by all means, experience it and decide for yourself. (That might come across as sounding slightly malicious, but for the record, it wasn't.) Eh? Competitor? I thought you were with Dell... The answer! • Either Arnval rolled a 1 on her listening check, or Devs rolled a natural 20 on sneak... • The shaggy looking teddy bear and its origins will be explained at some point. • In Fisto? Really, Devs? • These shots were a freakin’ pain to take. Dark, close up floor shots in tight spaces, and the nature of the shots did not allow for much use of a tripod... >_< Coolhand, Pol and CI seem to thrive on these kinda shots though...
Devs seems to be a bit brutal than he usually is. I guess being shot twice does that to a person/bot .
Jeez, Devy, do you really have to be such an ass-*F-bomb*!? No wonder Arnval thought he's the harbinger of death...
Well, that's some surprising character development with Arnval. Devastator reminds me of those punks whom always say they're only out for their own yet can't help but come to the assistance of others.
no offense taken so no worries there... and thanks! now that my new lappy has just arrived (spoiler from me: related omake coming soon) now i have a decent tool to get started on game dev stuff now about the comic: you just made your arnval look cute! that's.... interesting to say the least (looks for the keys of the bunker, armageddon is coming)
Nuh-uh! YOU wrote that in. No blaming Devs this time. Anyway, nice update. Devastator was coming off pretty harsh, there. Except for the fact that he's naturally a Decepticon and acts the part, so it isn't so much odd for him to respond that way. But yeah, as mentioned, you get the sense that he WANTS to be the tough one that happens through, but he keeps doing the right thing anyway. On that note, I love the last shot of him walking away (second-last panel). Really shows off the articulation of that set.
Never thought Devastator would ever be described as stealthy. I thought it was kinda cool... a look at the side Arnval hides from everyone, even those closest to her. Seems even stoic angels need a teddy bear. And Devs? About pouring your heart out to inanimate objects? You're a toy. Yo pot! There are three secrets to making this work. 1. Small tripods. Seriously, go to a dollar store and buy a mini tripod. I got one for $2 that I still use. 2. Long exposures. 3. Mobile light sources. A little lamp or something you can position to provide extra light for those tight in shots.
Hello Dila. I think this is my first comment here. I love your comics and if not for them, I don't think I'd be doing my own, much less collected as much Shinkis as I have. I've been slowly reading through the thread only to find you've stopped when I finally caught up. I'm glad that you're making comics again. I think people tend to be more vulnerable when they're pouring their hearts out to their teddy bears. Oooh, there's a story behind it! QFT!
DZ: ABB, huh? Sounds great! What sort of things will you be working on? Rail equipment? I hope you enjoy working for them, and that the stress level isn't too bad. Now the comic... Difficult or not, the photos look great, so don't worry about those. Arnval isn't quite the ironclad she'd like to be...this is driving home Saber's point (she's a sharp one.) We also know that Dev, though he's barking a lot here, has his own payload of buried anxieties...it's a pity he followed up Arnval's apology with bluster, but not all walls can be knocked down with one little push...
Guess even she's in need for a cuddle once in a while... and that conversation proceeded as civilized as it possibly could, given their situation...
I left Dell loooonnngggg time ago. nearly 1 and a half years. I am already stationed in KL, FYI. Do look me up. My details is in my facebook. BTW, when next comic?
This is basically what I would have said, hehe. Though I do need to start my comic, and I need to buy me some Shinki cause these comics have gotten me hooked into buying them. This comic is awesome, character development, funniness along the way, combined with loveable characters makes for a great comic. This is the #2 favourite comic on my list
