Welcome back to comicland! Good grief, not-quite-Dev's "slow-motion turn" with old Prime's head in hand is creeeeeeeeeepy...
*Sees update* *Is now awake* Actually, It's his normal head, just the front isn't flipped back to reveal his face.
Comic update! Holy crap! Awesome to see things running again. Hope to see more. So, will she go into that rage-mode every time she sees Devy? And she can't keep doing this solo act forever.
...okay, so I had more things to sort out than I thought, but it's for a good reason: I'm sure most everyone here already knows my grievances with my current employer. It was bugging me enough that I've been keeping an eye out for opportunities elsewhere for most of the year. After my last comic update in July, I decided that if I was to get out of Sony ASAP, I needed to step up my efforts. So I devoted all my spare time to job-hunting. And now, it's finally paid off. On the 4th of December 2010, I will be leaving Sony to start a new career in ABB, a company that I had my eye on since I graduated. Better pay, closer to home, non-manufacturing, and non-Japanese. Hopefully this new job will be as good as it sounds on paper. Okay, that aside, let's talk about the comic! As well as reply to my huge backlog of feedbacks... As it is, nope. A heartfelt thanks to you once again, Autobus. For keeping me in mind, and for the uplifting messages. ...Pol's understanding of my characters is uncannily spot on. Thanks, Pol. At the time when I first read this, it was exactly what I needed. Oh it works fine, it's just that Sony decided that no one in the company is allowed Internet access unless specifically authorized so. Which basically limits the users to Managers and above. Productivity is one thing, cutting people off from the world is another. Precisely! Pol could take over as author of Fun-ness if he wanted to, and no one will be any the wiser. If ever I am unable to get back to my comics, it will not be because of my choice. But thanks, Zudon. Thanks! That's one of my favs as well. Ugh...don't remind me. -_- At this point, the only reason I'd want to play the next game in the series is in the hopes that things turn out fine for her. Semi-Lovecraftian? That serious? O_O On hold for the time being. Till Platinum joins in the fun, that is. It's my only forte. A grand total of...nada. Not much grabbed my attention since the ROTF toys. Yep, prime13 be right. ...did you check your Devastator to verify that? I dunno. Let's put her and Devs together and see what happens... (Which is, coincidentally, what the next update will be about) Waaayyy too long... Hmm, that's an interesting interpretation. Alright! Now to play the neverending game of catch-up with all my favourite Funnies comics! And if all goes well, the next comic update should hit around next Monday/Tuesday. P.S. - @ "the stick is the bob" tag.
Well, maybe I'm being melodramatic, but let's see..... We've got a sleeping monstrosity that will cause practically unstoppable destruction when it finally wakes, one character being driven insane by endless nightmares of said destruction, and to top it off, Devastator's quickly become the closest thing to a herald of it. Yeah. It's got Cthulhu written all over it. Still, I can't say I don't enjoy this arc. It's suspenseful, it's exciting, and I love how it builds up to a huge firey payoff (That hopefully DOESN'T involve Unicron and Primus sending Megatron to the scrap heap within five minutes. )
Yay! Fun-ness is back! I'm glad you liked my little tribute comic. It was sort of a spur-of-the-moment thing. I was tempted to put in Bob's visualization, which was Mao's head on Ianeira's body, on a plate, but I couldn't find anything decent to use for the seaweed.
Grats on the new job! I have been away from here for too long myself... I am gonna be playing catch up for a long time. But man, I always do love the lighting and lovely pictures you take of your toys.
Okay, so catching the flu and being sick for a whole week certainly does not constitute to "all going well". -_- I'll try again later, once I can breathe through at least one of my nostrils. Hopefully I won't disappoint either. Either way, that climax won't be anytime soon. I agree. Thanks. Again, good to hear from you.
Hey hey hey, the big D-Z is back in da house! Welcome back dude! Good to hear that your work-life balance is on course for getting into a slightly more manageable ratio. I kept meaning post about that, but I totally get where you're coming from and sympathize with the burnout you're feeling. I used to work in the Computer Games industry, which is notorious for chewing people up and spitting them out as overworked, broken shells of their former selves. The best move I ever made was quitting that job and finding something that didn't suck my soul out through my ears by keeping me in the office 24/7. As for the strip, great as always. Hopefully Arnval will respond to Saber's olive branch. Though I do wonder where she's headed now, and I'm also curious as to where she's getting these visions from.
kinda off-topic but... that explains your awesomeness... maybe the computer games industry is full of "slaves" or something.... but i guess it must be fun to be part of that industry for a while... i always wanted to be there tbh....
Bioware is based in Edmonton, and I know a dozen or so people who work there. The job the kids always seem to want is QA: You mean I get paid to play video games all day? No. You get paid to play broken video games and take meticulous notes; and in the two weeks before the game ships, you're expected to be there for 20 hours out of 24 in a day. Other jobs aren't quite so bad, but crunch-time still makes your life go away.
i was talking about being game developer... but whatever... yes i know its kinda my fault but still...
