Well I never looked at the instructions on mine, 4 mode, 2 of them are passable and two of them seem more like a joke to me, kind like fan modes that only work if you hold them in place with tape. I just sat here and messed about with mine for a few minutes and I've come up with a better "3rd" mode than either of the ones listed.

Sorry had to rant on that, other wise, nice toy, not great but makes a good con mining/killing machine.

Nope... If GF released him months earlier however, I wouldn't even have posted anything... I'd be busy transforming him this way and that...:p

I think the name suits him. Menasor is, ultimately, based off the word menace, as in, Menacer.
From that perspective, the big guy is a perfect fit for the name - he menaces the Autobots with his twin drills.
It's cool to see the name in circulation again, though I'm with you on pining for a new set of Stunticons. One day, perhaps? Until then, this guy can keep the trademark warm.

I think it looks cool so I'll take my chances with it anyway.

The name is mostly just to keep the trademark I assume.

Just got this figure and I think he's great! Vehicle mode is very unique and fits the name "Menasor" to a tee. The Mini-con assult mode by putting Heavy-Load in between the vehicle body is an interesting concept. Although the transformation is SUPER simple, I LOVE how the bot mode looks, very alien and dangerous looking. Love the spinning drills on both arms. Heavy-Load is one of the cooler mini-cons I've played with, and I love how he fits into Menasaur's chest. When he's inside and you can see his lil' head peeking out that window it's just so cool. No stability issues with mine. Very easy to balance you can get some cool poses out of him. Recommended! :thumb :hookday
Here's some nice big pics I took of him, enjoy!

On the back of Menasor, there is this weird connector looking thing. Anyone know if it's supposed to be used for something?

I'm not sure it is - I think of it as his control centre, merely meant to empasise the size of him - like the bridge on a SW Star Destroyer (which it's shaped like)

It certainly doesn't fit Heavy Load.

I agree... I think it's the control center... And according to the instructions, it's facing the wrong way... Thing is, if you unscrew it, you'll find that it has a square peg with a tab on one of the sides... I shaved that down and rotated it so that the control center is now facing the right way... Like so:
And once doing so, I noticed on the back of the control center, there is a ridge that lines up with the body of Menasor as well...

Here's some extra pics of Menasor:

And a fan mode I just thought of:

I thought of this fan mode because I noticed right above the abs section of Menasor that there's a "window" there that resembles a cockpit... Also, the dual cannons can swivel down as well... So I was curious as to why there was such a set up... Hence I came up with that "gerwalk" mode akin to Macross... And Heavy Load can sit in his chest in this configuration... Like so:

Yeah there's lots of fun trying to make fan modes for Menasor. I like mine a lot - see My Review

I just received Menasor and the Giant Planet Mini-Cons (highly recommended btw...) and he's a fantastic figure.

    Pictures don't do him justice.

Also, I've noticed some complaints across the boards about his ratcheting joints not assembled correctly, thus letting him flop about. Not on mine...sturdy as hell.

One problem though, the light and sound effects only work when I put his key in. It says in the instructions that you can push the wheel by hand make lights and sounds happen without the key. Well...not on mine. Still...I don't use those too much, so if that's what I have to lose in order to gain a sturdier figure, so be it!

BTW...Brian's Toys (http://www.BriansToys.com/) is an excellent online store. Yes, the prices are definitely higher than the competition, but they usually have the items in stock and they're insanely fast. I paid Tuesday, and the package arrived today! (super quick shipping, same day as ordered!)

What's up with the smilie faces on his shoulders? Intentional or coincidence?

I think it is just the angle of the lighting that makes it look like a smiley face. the area with the notches that look like eyes is actually raised

Menasor is great. The hip section on mine holds together tightly so there's no problems here.
