I know he's just a repaint, and an IDW repaint at that. But for the sake of it being a 30th Anniversary edition, would it have killed them to make him a Headmaster and added Muzzle to the mix?

How on earth would they have make a Headmaster small enough to fit on that body? It'd require a completely new mold.

    Another shitty repaint. Pass.

Nightbeat looks nothing like Bee. To make matters worse the box art design is him as a repaint of Generations Jazz. You did it for the first wave of the Thrilling 30 Hasbro. Why can't you just keep the good figure coming? You have an entire toyline dedicated to the shitty ones (AOE), I want comic accurate figures for characters that are in the comics. Hopefully a 3rd party will release a comic accurate figure. Hasbro won't be getting my money. Especially not at 13-15$ a piece for a Deluxe.

The original G1 Nightbeat was no bigger than this one.
Not to mention Kabaya seems to do just fine making tiny headmasters, and those are just candy toys. There's also WS Transformers, and those are no bigger than a quarter. Also look at TCC Scorponok. Didn't need a new mold there.

I'm just saying, it's not like it can't be done.

Yeah, but Scorponok got the entire price of the boxset lifted by $100 because of the tooling required. I don't think Hasbro can do something like that on a Deluxe-class retool. If Nightbeat was to be a Headmaster, he'd need a new mold, which would probably mean he wouldn't be made in the first place.

Complaining about repaints is ridiculous. They've existed since the beginning of the toyline.

Agreed. It will be a real shame if we don't.

I like it, and i haven't picked up this mold yet.

as I've not played with it, i am curious ~ given the construction of th mold, is a replacement chest piece possible? cuz that'd go a long ways towards the "nightbeat look"

(and even though it's a far, far superior mold, i feel like this one is a better fit for the character than the Jazz mold)

Looks good to me. Better than a blue Jazz.

Well he also complains that Nightbeat looks nothing like bee! and then in the same post he wants them to do it as a Jazz repaint as the original concept art when in the comics he definitely does not look like Jazz either.

Then there's the customary lol of declaring another toyline as "reserved for the shitty ones" and of course, price whining.

I hope not. Minerva needs a completely new mold to work. It would be like using Prime Starscream for a Slipstream figure. That didn't work out too well.

Yes! Wasn't Minerva, Siren, and one more that looked similar on a TF: Cloud pic? Maybe they'll see Takara releases

labels for physical details rarely do it for me,and thanks to Marvel G1 i like Nightbeat enough to pop for a 3rd party kit if one with a proper chest and guns shows up...

Proper colors and a retooled chest piece and this would be a lot more appealing :-/
