After owning THS-02 for a while, I made it a priority to try to get the Galaxy Force version. It took months of scouring sales threads and the like until I found an amazing deal on one.
It arrived Saturday, and I haven't been able to put it down!

First off, the box:






He comes with a standard head, a super mode head (because the size prevents making the face plate and side fins transformable - just too small), backpack, eight hands, a matrix and two force chips.





Backpack as artillery platform. Yeah. Odd.


VERY articulated. He has all the articulation of the leader version, but with added head balljoint, wrists, and a waist.

Transformation is the same as the leader class, and the truck still has shocks in the rear wheels:

No electronics, but the main cannon has light-piping which looks really nice.
Also, unlike the leader version, the guns have hand grips that fold out.



The power chips actually activate the guns like the leader version:



All in all, this is exactly what I was expecting and did not disappoint in the least.

 

They were only released in 2005, and I believe it was a limited run for some reason.

I got mine for right around $100.

 

Probably because it was essentially Masterpiece quality and price, but Cyberverse/Legends-scale. That, and it was a Takara only thing, so maybe the market for them just wasn't there.

 

Kind of a necro-bump, but I just wanted to say I added this piece to my sales thread, if anyone's interested. With the THS line being rather old, I'm sure there are some fans that have never even seen the figures, so I thought it'd be worth bumping.

 

I would have loved for a G1 Megatron or GF Megatron as counterparts for THS-01 and 02. It would have been sublime.
