Time for a quick review! Generations Legends Nemesis Prime & Spinister! Nemesis Prime is definitely his usual Unicron Herald self, but Spinister certainly doesn't sound like the Spinister I know! "More intelligent then most Decepticon lackeys"? How low's that bar? Nemesis Prime is, as usual, a repaint of Generations Legends Optimus Prime. Unfortunately he doesn't come equipped with his Ion Cannon, assumedly because it's molded with the Roller mold. He looks pretty awesome, in person though the black seems more like a very dark brown, but it could just be my color blindness playing trick on me. He's a Decepticon, although the bio implies he'd be a unaligned. He definitely looks the part of Optimus Prime's evil clone. I really love the Optimus Prime robot mode, IDW Ongoing Optimus Prime is one of my favourite Optimus Prime designs ever. Truck mode looks pretty good, although it is missing a Decepticon Logo above the grill seen in the packaging photos, but nothing major. Both Nemesis Prime and Spinister seem much tighter then their original versions, in Spinister's case transforming him actually takes quite a bit of force! There's enough paint differences in vehicle mode to Optimus to make unique in his own way, which I like a lot. The two look excellent together! Spinister is a straight redeco of Blazemaster that originally came with Bumblebee. I prefer his color scheme to Blazemaster's, honestly. Out of all the Micromasters, the robot mode of these two are probably the worst, I really dislike the gap underneath the head. He transforms into a helicopter, although you can still clearly make out his arms. The bad robot mode of Spinister is made up by having the most successful weapon mode. He becames a pretty awesome cannon and his rotor becomes a buzz saw. Its here that his color-scheme really works with Nemesis Prime. They look great! All in all, its the usual black Optimus repaint, but I like him enough to recommend him. Nemesis Prime always looks totally badass and Spinister's colors really complement him. The Optimus mold is fantastic, so I have no qualms in buying him more than once!
gorgeous, although nemesis prime will always be nova prime to me and for it to be scourge it has to be a long nose cab. also never knew blazemaster's rotor came off. too bad i don't have mine anymore.
I kinda wish Spinister was instead based on the helicopter 'Con from Armada, then Hasbro could troll the fans by calling this set "Scourge and Cyclonus." But Spinister's colors are surprisingly good. He might not be stupid enough to blast his own hand, but it does look like he could accidentally(?) shoot his head off.
I have this guy, the mould is already really nice but it's amazing how the black/purple colours rock the mould, much more than OP's colours.
Im really surprised about how solid this figure is, nice joints and build quality. Transformation is easy yet involve even if its small. I can't stop transforming this guy lols, the weapon is cool too. Really glad they made a nemesis prime repaint or else i won't be bother to try and have fun with this mold. So its just not me only that the color is somehow confusing im not kidding but mine looks olive green, probably i also have color blindness.
Does Nemesis Prime actually have more paint apps than Optimus? It looks like he's got the silver stripe around the cab and the teal feet, but all the rest of the apps that Optimus has. It really helps Nemesis look great.
He looks great! Only nitpicks I have are the purple toes. They're just a bit too much for me. Also, Spinster's bot mode looks like it sucks, but that's OK.
I have that problem with just about every weapon in the Generations line. Wish these figs came with regular blasters.
Nice pics and review. The silver stripe...should have been teal instead. The truck mode definitely needs more teal.
Got my order from HTS today. With the discount code I had been just shy of the free shipping so adding Nemesis Prime got me the free shipping for about a total order price increase of about $1.20. I'm fairly underwhelmed. After a transformation, he went onto the Black Convoy / Nemesis Prime shelf.
I like him a lot, especially with these colors...but thanks to some lousy paint apps, instead of red eyes he looks like a pro football player...red stripes on his upper cheeks.
Picked this up awhile back, but never opened it - until today. Wow, should have done it sooner. I don't have the original OP version, but this is a nice little figure of Nemesis. Tight joints, neat transformation, and in robot mode, he just looks mean. Will have to hunt down a proper gun for him though.
He was intelligent before IDW. Then they made him into a bumbling ****** that is nothing like his original personality.
Interesting thing I discovered is that Nemesis Prime and Spinister fit in a spare Oilmaster shell I own! I may need to paint the shell with black and teal accents.
I talked about this on facebook, I had to go out and order it for myself, on its way Another point...does Suppressor fit anywhere?
