Hi, past version of me? STFU. He's great.

Picked this guy up at Target as part of their "buy one, get one half-off" sale. He's really striking in person, especially in robot mode. Between this guy, Snarl, 2014 Bumblebee, and Voyager Drift, it seems like Hasbro saved the best for last in this line.

Holy shitballs, they keep dropping the price on Amazon: he's now listed at $10.89!!!

I'm so glad I waited on buying this guy; I'm gonna feel so much better about him having got him so cheap. What voyager you isn't worth $10.89?!?

He's down to $9.83 on Amazon!!! I hope it's not annoying anyone that I keep posting these price drops, but holy crap, that is so cheap!!! I figure somebody might still be on the fence and a great deal like that might push you over the edge.

I actually ordered a second one for the $9.83 price for a custom. Even if I didn't have plans for it, Slog's good enough that having multiples wouldn't bother me.

Has anyone chopped the red spikes on the legs?
I'm strongly considering it on mine, as I think it will help
    streamline the dino mode...

That's not a bad idea... And I can't believe the price! I got him for $17 back in the fall and I thought that was as good as it was gonna get!

Got this guy for Xmas. I love both modes. A hairdryer fixed the flap perfectly. My main gripeā€¦I really dislike the transformation. I can't put my finger on why but, it just isn't fun.

My mom just got me this guy today. He's great. Although you guys weren't kidding about the rubbery parts.

Got this guy since Target was clearancing him off at $8. He actually sold out within the hour or so I was at the shopping center. Granted there was only like 3 of them, but they've been sitting there for a while now and I rarely see signs of other people actually buying Transformers.

Anyways, he's nice and imposing in both modes, especially since I've got him teamed up with PCC Grimstone and that Mini-Con Pteranodon. But that first transformation... brrr. The instructions are beyond useless, all the parts are confusingly reversible (must've spun the dino head around a dozen times), and the design makes it rather hard to figure out what's what -- it's all spiky plated grey stuff. And the entire midsection being connected to the back legs' knees really threw me for a loop. Maybe I'm rusty having not bought anything larger than a Legends in a long time, but it was real doozy. Subsequent transforms have gone a LOT smoother, though.
Gonna have to try that hairdryer fix at some point.

But hey, a sauropod! That's bigger than the other dinosaurs!!

Also, the weapons were terrible. *toss*

Throw some gold on Slog and you have a supremely cohesive team there.

I want the Platinum set too, but I'm waiting for another clearance. No way I'm playing 200 CAD for that set. That said, to me Slog was easily the worse AOE Dinobot toy.

I love the feel of slog, I too had to heat fix the bib, but the solidness of him, and the different types of plastic / Rubber, make him feel very special. Of course I have the Platinum Slog $10 Amazon, but the figure feels like a $60 toy in quality and feel. I would have saught it out back when it came out if it weren't for the gorilla arms. Whoever the designer is.... why dude? But apart from that it's very very nice.

I love my SDCC set of these guys, no doubt about it.

Having said that, Slog is definitely a fiddly one to transform. He DOES look dope standing under the overhang of the Ark Pop-Up Set though!

I have found optimism for the Bayverse... because of this figure.

I felt like the whole AOE Dinobot line was a litany of "Why dude?" questions for the designers. Most of them had gorilla arms. These figures had so much potential, but just ended up being frustrating in so many ways. For Slog: Gorilla arms, a whole ton of WTF weapons, and the waist that never quite tabs in. Yeesh, he was so close to being awesome, and instead was just frustrating. I was glad to sell him off!
