Yeah this is how I feel. I hate the weapons, and it doesn't help that they're also bright red. I might cut a lot off this guy. Bot mode looks fun but he might be staying in dino mode like any and all movie dinobots I'll possibly be getting.

It sounds like Hasblow packages this guy badly... but once you get his soft rubber pieces straightened out he's pretty fun.

I think this figure is different and unique for a movie Dinobot. The rubbery plastic can be fixed with warm or hot water and or a hair dyer so not big deal there. Also, i dont see Hasbro re-issuing these molds again after the mass production runs.

Love this guy. Looks way better in person, including the weapons. Although one of the shoulder guns is loose in the hole.

hmm, the figure looks, clunky, but the weaponry makes me think "me slog badass enough to beat you to death with ribbed dildos!"

The instructions should've come with ways to go to Dino mode. Even going reverse they aren't very clear at all. Not a big fan of the rubber parts as they add tension so the hard plastic joints, I got stress marks just bending the Dino neck for transformation.

Overall, a fun toy, wish it had wrist swivels and less soft plastic. I like the color scheme. Also wish it had ratcheting/detent joints especially for the knees since they're loose on mine.

This figure lost me when I saw he has Aladdin's slippers for feet. That, and the Bionicle head design. I thought they were supposed to have a knight theme, what happened with this guy?

Uh, have you not seen the other dinobot feet?

Even though it wasn't very common historically, plate armor boots often have spikes either straight forward, or pointing up. They're supposed to be alien knights anyway so it doesn't matter much.

His head is fine, it's a very Dark Souls-y design in general.

I agree! I've only seen pics of Slog, but I can't wait to see him in person and pick him up.

I get that vibe looking at all the Movie Dino bots. Ether Dark Souls, or Infinity Blade.

I can't stand it when Hasbro packages a Transformer in robot mode but includes instructions that start off in alt mode. That's the most frustrating thing about Slog - his transformation from robot mode to dino mode. The instructions aren't clear at all - you sort of have to figure it out yourself. The other thing I don't like about this figure is that some of the spikes (that were made with the soft plastic) are warped due to how it was packaged. Other than that, Slog isn't bad.

Got mine today... In dino mode, nothing really locks other than the robot chest halves and the 2 rubber pieces on the back. The front (warped) rubber flap doesn't tab in anywhere, the tail rubber flap doesn't really stay tabbed in, same with the tail halves, and then there's that weird mid-torso joint that's kinda free to flop. Honestly, this toy is more ass than badass.

You just need to play with it a little more and you'll get the tolerances. The mid-joint doesn't flop if you transform him correctly. The tail and flap likewise stay in place if you get the legs in the right position.

The front flap being messed up is an issue, but dunk it in almost boiling water for 30 seconds and then under cold water and it practically snaps back into the intended position. It's on a separate hinge from the Dino neck, so you can rotate it down into the correct position in Dino mode.

You can also use hid Dino mode front shoulders to hold down the rubber flap.
