Thanks for the review! I'm definitely looking forward to this guy. When is he set to hit the states? September? I wonder why they're making us wait this long considering he's not in the film that much as his classic camaro self. Flashbacks to 2007...

 

I got the TRU 2 pack version of him. He's pretty good. Really bad paint match on the clear plastic parts and the battle mask is floppy and keeps popping off. I like him, though.

 

Yeah be careful with the battle mask. I tried to slide mine down from the top, and one side popped out and the whole thing snapped almost in half. Fortunately the way it's designed, it's not noticeable and it even still works as long as I'm careful.

Mini-BB has issues too...stress marks on the elbow joint and the ball pops out of the socket. Annoying.

 

Now I'm really wondering if I should repaint a Bumblebee into Stinger. The head/Mask could be the hardest part.

 

Well, we're not getting a deluxe Stinger anyway. So you might as well.

People have been snagging Lockdowns the last few days and I think this Bee is that wave, yes? So, start hunting!

 

Nope. Refresh wave 2.5 is 2x Slash, Strafe, Lockdown and Drift. Bee is in wave 3. Anyone who is getting him now is probably getting the TRU Evolution 2-pack.

Here's how the shoulders are meant to be transformed. A lot of pictures have it wrong. I'm really loving this figure.

 

I wish the Autobot logos on the sides of his front panels had logos. I guess the one on his forehead came at the expense of other paint apps.

 

I wonder if I can remove the mask and glue it on his face to make Stinger.

 

The mask pops off easily, so yeah, you should be able to do that.

 

I cant seem to flip the mask down. Is it something like HFTD battle blades bee where you pull it up then slide it down. It looks fragile as I tried.

Just be careful with it...it is fragile and when I had the same problem I cracked mine by pushing too hard. Best place I've rounf is to press your fingernails on the indent between the forehead piece and the outer "horns"...there's a little divet or triangular space there. Gently start to push both sides down and it should slide.

 

I bought 2 Evolution Bumblebees today!!!!

One for just Bumblebee and one to repaint into Stinger.
