I'm interested in picking this guy up, just to scratch the itch so to speak. I have the four other Hasbro released deluxe Lockdowns from over the years, but this robot mode is pretty bad. Then I read JRU's post. :lol

This is how I look at it. AS A TOY, he's not awful, I quite like him. But if you've seen the movie and are expecting a faithful rendition of his cgi counterpart, he's the suck. Again though, I like the toy for the toy itself.

Yeah, I really didn't think it was anywhere near as bad as everyone is saying here. He's far from the worst, imo, and is actually closer to the top of the AOE Deluxes (okay, that's pretty faint praise) as far as I'm concerned.

The shoulders aren't a problem for me. I picked up a Lockdown the day I found one

So I'm sitting here with DotM Roadbuster in my hand and other than the backpack, he's a good figure with really nice proportions. I don't have AoE Lockdown so I can't compare the two in-hand. Could someone tell me why exactly Lockdown's proportions are so bad when the mold he's based on has such good proportions?

Maybe this is just what I think, but it's possible that it because that it wasn't even the right mold to use. Roadbuster's vehicle mode is a NASCAR race car, while Lockdown have a Lamborghini alt mode (Which looks totally different other than having 4 wheels and are cars). The wrong use of the mold cause Lockdown has more and larger kibble on the figure in robot mode than Roadbuster because the mold itself was never intended to use on Lockdown.

Lockdown also isn't a remould of Roadbuster, he just has a very similar transformation, but Roadbuster does it so much better because of the proportions and the fact that Roadbuster has kibble by design Lockdown lacks. And Roadbuster isn't that good either. As such all of the mass is misplaced, with too much up top.

They really should've just copied TFA Lockdown's transformation scheme with tweaks for the Lambo mode. Maybe a combination TFA LD/ DOTM Topspin so the vehicle mass is evenly distributed.
