Like others have said, I really wish this was the silver used on the original MP Bluestreak release with the black hood, roof, and Autobot hood symbol.

 

Looks better than I expected, glad I kept my preorder.


Still want a blue version though.

 

The only shot I have managed to process from the studio shoot yesterday. The toy is generally great but, as I mentioned in the UK discussion thread, mine is very tight, has a couple of QC issues and a bit broke off out of the package  

Despite all of that, it's a great figure and I do not regret forking out for it at all.

Mine is on its way. What are your QC issues and what broke off?

 

QC issues are mainly super tightness of joints in the legs and arms. The broken piece was the little nub on the big toe that helps connect the two halves of the car rear together. Small piece, not entirely necessary but still a little annoying.

 

Okay, thanks. I'd be annoyed if that piece was broken, too. I can't wait to get this guy. I have the G1 toy from my childhood and all silver is the way he should be. And he comes with both launchers!

 

Just bought mine from RK, didnt want to wait for it in my POL. It comes with the coin which i want and at $4 cheaper than BBTS. BTW what the difference between Air Parcel and Air Small Packet at RK?

 

I really have to say with the light silver this actually looks like Bluestreak to me. When I got MP-18 I felt like I barely recognised him. I've now ordered this guy and will be putting my original MP-18 up for sale. All I need is to paint MP-18's bonnet and part of his roof with a little black.

 

Got MP18s over the weekend, what can I say? He's a beauty! No issues with paint, joints are just right. I simply love this mold!

 

Got this at BotCon as a slightly impulse buy. Absolutely gorgeous paint job. He shimmers in bright light. The normal release is what an MP collector needs for a toon accurate shelf. As someone who had G1 Bluestreak as a kid, this is the MP Streak I envisioned and wished for.

 

Hmmmmm.

The more I think about it, this toy should really have looked more like the G1 TOY and not the cartoon model.

He should have had Prowl's head and waist and RED eyes. Now it's gonna bother me forever.

If they ever make the Blue Diaclone version, I hope they use all Prowl parts and yellow eyes for maximum accuracy.

What's preventing the right hand from holding the gun?

 

Think that's just a common problem with the mould post MP-18. My original Bluestreak could hold it just fine, but MP-19 and MP-18S can't hold it for shit. The little ridges inside the hole in their hands are worn away meaning the peg on the gun won't stay held into the hole in the hand.

Wonder if anyone's come up with a clever and easy fix for this problem
