The mold was a disappointment, only the paint apps is interesting this round. But the size of the alt mode is small and only scale with the legion class... I would not really recommend it... But if hasbro gets releasing it, i might buy then.

I thought it was one of the most interesting deluxes at the time, pretty unique transformation and gimmick. Still more interesting than all the AOE deluxes released so far.

Outside of the claw gimmick the mold possesses, I also wasn't thrilled by the head. Compared to the rest of the body (a rather vibrant green), it's a murky green and the details of the head aren't captured very well. I'm mostly glad it was finally made, but the mold choice and head issue leave it a bit unsatisfying for me.

I am hoping Hasbro can obtain an offical lincense from Mountain Dew and deco it properly. Its is about time they reused the last drone mold. I t is the least popular among the drones though and the smallest.

It's kind of a meh mold, but I missed out on it back in '07, and I couldn't resist the character. Honestly, the deco makes for half the fun of the toy. I really like the weapon, but I'm thinking I might have to mod a vehicle-mod roof mount for it.

I personally don't like the way source material is sites clearly and how they do darn silly thing like believe Prime and WFC is the same thing (which is just incredibly stupid regardless what Aaron archer might have said at the time WFC isn't even consistent with itself).

The way they structure the information means important information is missing as it does not fit the templates - and people only edit the "cool stuff" so a whole lot on info and cross references are missing completely.

So no I'd say take anything you read on TFwiki as a starting point not an ending point - also they try to be funny too - which is often just a bit 'sad'.

That said I suppose it has some use like looking up the specifics of a comic story for example you can only half remember.

But it's a wiki so it's never going to be reliable in all things. I'm sure it's a pleasant enough hobby for those involved though.

I'd say figure out what you want to know then find out who is an expert on said thing then ask them - like if I wanted to know something about Diaclone I'd ask Maz.

So I'm not dissing the site as such just some aspects to do with the editorial choices that over time have stopped making much sense once Aaron Archer was shown the door.

    --------

I would have Army Built Payload if he'd actually came out in the UK - Maybe he might get KO in the normal colour as well as yellow though like Swerve and Arcee just did.

What's wrong with being funny? Don't you even have a sense of humour?

Maybe you just like to overanalyze it that's all (just like most of you postings on TFW).

Here's kind of an unofficial vending machine mode I did for mine.
This is the best I could come up with.

I got this guy not too long ago, and I kind of dig him. He's not a greatest toy, but he fills that gap in my collection. Couple of questions, though:

    1. The way his head is attached, it almost looks like he should be able to lift his head up at a 90 degree angle, but it doesn't, and I don't want to try. Anyone know what that's about?

    2. Why is the panel is head is on detachable?

    1. It does not swivel up and down, even though it should. How do I know? My Dispensor's head broke off.

    2. The head panel has always been detachable since the original Payload use of the mold. My guess is it was Hasbro's intention to reuse the body multiple times and just put a different head on it each time. And if that wasn't odd enough, the copyright stamps are on the plastic underneath that panel. (So weird.)

    Here's my mini review:
Excellent use of the mold, because Dispensor fits this truck so better than Payload did. This makes sense, while Payload (aside from the name/choice of vehicle) did not.

The colors and tampos are just right and make him really stand out.

The weapon is so simple, yet so nice. Sometimes the simplest is the best.

My only criticisms are that the mold is showing it's age and use (which there weren't many) because all of the panels refuse to line up in vehicle mode, which leaves a mess of open gaps and lines and it's distracting. The other is the head... It looks nothing like the artwork on the packaging/movie and looks like a demonic knock off puppet figure you find at a fair or something. It just looks terrible and ridiculous compared to the rest of the figure and almost ruins it for me.

And the fact that the head broke bothers me to no end, so now I have a Dispensor with a fixed head and less poseability. For the price I paid (BBTS), I'm really disappointed in HasTak on this one, because the QC is utter shite, it's bollocks, I say.

    Bollocks.

Bought him on Amazon with rewards points and he just arrived today. This isn't my first experience with the mold, but I do like the original despite its flaws. Needless to say, this is great for me. I love how they found ways to accommodate the weapon and the sculpt of the new tooling is perfect, like the soda cans on the back of his head. However, the neck on mine is pinned rather loosely so it jiggles around on the pin and it really looks like the head should be able to look up even though it can't. Oh, and the head assembly still pops off rather easily.

If Hasbro released these into the States like they did with GDO, I'd probably buy one or two more. It's just so perfect as a stand-in for KSI drones.

Thats official. The Rage of the Dinobots and the Beast Hunters comic merges WFC/FoC with Prime.

To those concerned with the accuracy of the headsculpt - yes, it is inaccurate to the concept art, box art etc., but look closely in the movie and you'll see that the ILM model has a different head, which is the one used here.
