yeah.. what other grimlock does that?.. off the top of my head.. i can't think of any.

i'll wait for the leader.. the leader looks pretty awesome compared to this junk.

also.. same problem with EVERY AOE figure.. they're ALL colored BADLY.

such a shame to ruin an entire toy line with the same terrible problem.

Yeah, you missed his point completely. What he's saying is thanks to this VOYAGER Grimlock review, he's decided to wait and get the LEADER version ;)

There's a big difference between a couple claws jutting off of the robot wrist (effectively making cuffs or a weapon, even) and an entire Dinosaur FOOT hanging off of the robot HAND.

I said I was only going to get Leader Class Grimlock, but now that I've seen this I don't know if I should get this too.

That head sculpt is pretty damn cool.

Not really feeling this Grimlock. Neither mode is really elegant, the kibble is all just awkward and doesn't "flow" with the designs. I can see what they were trying to go for, but I don't think they succeeded at it. I take it the dino-heads are attempting to be pauldrons and the dino-feet are trying to be vambraces, but they don't read as much since they're floating instead of actually meshing with the bot mode body.
And he does look a step below Voyager complexity. (or "my idea of what Voyagers should be", before someone chews my head off and rants about children and playability and other topics I do not give a damn about)

And the way the weapon has a separate handle for actual gripping = UGH!

Unfortunately the more I see this figure the more I dislike it. I appreciate the review though. I read it hoping for something to make me want it. The arms and tail are pretty much a disappointment. So much kibble all over

Sometimes I don't really get complaints about kibble.

I like some kibble, it makes for interesting designs. Arm kibble that doesn't get in the way? I'd take that over, say, Classic Op's arm kibble that swivels freely.

Huh, wrist swivels, now I need to see Leader Grimlock scale. That made this one almost interested.

Hi OP, thanks for the pics! Some questions for you..

Does the grey spike sticking out of Grimmy's back work a gimmick like maybe move his bottom jaw?

And can you show us some more angles that have not been seen yet? Like T-rex from above and the back of OP and Grimmy in robot mode please.

The back spike looks like his robot mode head horn.

I actually like this figure the more I see it, but I still think the leader version looks superior.

Also, the bio confirms my hunch on the Dinobots.

Where g1 figures the best thing to compare them to? Surely a more recent figure like a bumblebee would've been better? or a can?

I think his ears can fold foward to hide his dino eyes in robot mode.

Wow. I hope the Leader Class is better. While I like the beast mode, the robot mode is kinda shitty.

Ah well, I'm a completionist when it comes to cast members, so I'll have to buy one or the other.

holy shit, his t-rex mode looks like he just told a bad joke and is waiting for you to get it.

are the gold pieces his arms attach to not on that black hinge?
