How did that happen? Did it easily break?

Does anybody have some photos side-by-side with Voyager Beast Hunters Prime? I think that's the best comparison, just to see if they fit well in Bot Mode, and possibly close to Ultimate Predaking in Alt Mode?

Or sometimes peg holes are too narrow, and with a double-mount post on two movable parts, pegs can easily snap. It happened to me with G1 Astrotrain ages ago that the peg of the sword snapped in the arm.
Granted, it's a lot easier saying "Grr, Hasbro bad!"

The peg is hollow inside...that's either a manufacturing or design issue.

    Lots of pegs are hollow.

The issue here doesn't seem to be plastic, but rather that just being a weak method of attaching such a large part.

Finally a Predaking that doesn't look like crap! Every other version of him is painted wrong and the only one that is colored correctly is freaking gigantic, I don't know where I'd put it, and for a toy that size and that price I'd expect more but even the smallest version is better mold wise than that thing. It's not good when the smaller versions have better articulation and/or more complex transformations than the larger ones.

Granted this still isn't perfect but for it's size my expectations aren't as high and it got the coloring right. I really like his design in the cartoon and it's been such a disappointment that all his toys have ended up being either miscolored or just giant lumps of overly expensive plastic. If it were a larger size class like the other one that got the colors right I'd be way more critical but for a voyager I'd be happy to get this version at that price range.

Ultimate pred is still the best version IMO...but that insane price makes it a totally unattractive package

That's exactly why it isn't the best. Who wants to pay that price for that mold? Something that big should not be that poorly made. It's freaking sad that a legion figure has a better transformation and better articulation than then Ultimate version. Well maybe not better articulation but that one isn't bad for the size. Ultimate however... I expect to actually be able to move it's head which it probably would be able to do if they didn't put electronics in there. Of course apparently none of the other Predakings can do it either but still it's easier to forgive on a figure that isn't $60. I expect better quality for that price and the smaller toys have better quality than that mold.

Wonder if his back limbs in beast mode can be easily removed, just in the off-chance someone inevitably makes better parts for this guy..

Just a reminder: we use to get Primus and Unicron at the $50 point.

I know I will be picking up this Predaking over that piece of shit ultimate version.

Yeah but I think they over estimated how well Unicron would sell and he ended up shelf worming because stores were over stocked with them. They made too many. I don't recall the same thing happening with Primus but the Unicrons were freaking everywhere.

Eh? The only limited articulation is the neck for the light gimmick...he has more articulation than the new voy outside of that one thing, which tbh the beast mode is garbage in all forms of this characters toys so it doesn't affect me much. I picked up ult pred for $30. You should start seeing him drop everywhere pretty soon nobody is buying because of the insane price and stores will want shelf space for the new year

I like the translucent wings on this guy. Everything else same old same old with a really blah head sculpt.

nothing against the toy itself just personal opinion. This guy is great for what he was created to achieve.

The same thing happened in Canada when tru carried the amazon unicorn. 50 bucks and they warmed hard for a year then they where all clearanced for 30 and then 20 before they where liquidated to clear space for the upcoming year

Got mine today too, and it's easily the second best Prime Predaking figure there is. The first voyager edges it out slightly because the beast mode articulation is better (dragon head, mouth, neck and rear legs), but this new one is excellent in its own right.
The beast mode is impressively sized, the head and neck look the best of any other releases, and the clear wings just look cool. The articulation isn't bad, consisting of the head (can nod), the wings have a good range of motion, the front legs and the rear hips.
Bot mode just plain shines. Joints I kind of wished were there aren't, but honestly they aren't that important with this figure. He doesn't need wrists or a waist as his impressive stature more than makes up for the lack of those joints.
The gun is almost perfect as it looks like a mix of show accuracy and a wicked pistol. The sword is just plain beastly. It impresses me almost as much as the sword that came with Ultimate Prime, but looks better with the orange/yellow and black paint. It is tight in beast mode, so either sanding the paint or even the inside of the mounting plugs would be advisable to prevent potentail breakage and Hasbro-slamming ( :)  ).
All in all, it absolutely destroys the Ultimate version. I wish I would have known about this one before dishing out the money for the giant one, but at least now I can honestly compare the two.
