    Hi again everyone.

Just a quick final review of the new Generations wave member. The Minicon Assault and Centuritron.

I'll start with the inidividual bots and then on to the big guy.

From left to right meet Windshear, Runway and Heavytread.

Each Minicon sports a weapon or part that detaches to form the main weapon for Centuritron.

On to the robot modes. They all look very different to one another and sport decent articulation for such small figures.

Size comparisons of the Minicon Assault Team with the new Starscream.

I won't spoil to combination here but needless to say it is very creative and satisfying, reminiscent of classic Anime combining robots with an epic head reveal to top it all off.

    Behold Centuritron

A final size comparison with the new figures in this wave, he is taller than Scoop but a little shorter than Starscream.

As a wrap up, this figure trumps the Armada and Energon Perceptor and, I believe, kind of highlights an opportunity for more of these kind of Minicon combiners.

Despite being small they're very intelligently thoughts out both on individual and combined level. Many figures fall down on one or the other but this one is solid all round. Highly recommended.

Thanks for reading and Happy Christmas.

Does the combined mode have knee articulation? From all the pics I've seen, it looks like they might be hindered a bit. Thanks for the photos.

Something about this set screams Prime to me.

    Perhaps it's the faces.

Could we get an articulation rundown for the combined mode?

Looks like fun on a bun. I may have to get two or more sets 'cause I like both combined and individual forms.

Its basically a Deluxe being able to split into three seperate components than three regular Mini-Cons being able to combine.

I'd like more Mini-Cons with completely different themes and color schemes designed to also combine with these three. You would be able to mix and match to make different combinations using different teams.

He has knees joints and can bend around 90 degrees at the knee BUT you have to rearrange the obstructions which are the minicon's arms. Hips are on ball joints and have 180 degrees of movement plus some outward motion.

Arm articulation is elbow joints and around 180 degrees at the shoulder plus up and down motion.

No head articulation except the up and down for the head reveal. No waist swivel.

Any chance you could post some pics comparing the 3 minicons with legends/legion/commander sized figs?

This guy just looks super cool and fun! Way to go, Ammonites!

Definitely. I think that the Ammonite/Teradore home planet is just the dumping ground for Armada, PCC, and Prime in the IDW universe. :lol

Perhaps the smooth, contoured limbs and the lack of noses on the faces (or the price of helmet that goes where a nose would go)?

I see they all have hardpoints, do they have actual minicon holes, too?

Quite an impressive set. They're closer to legends than Minicons, with much better articulation and sculpts. I will gladly pick it up.

They do have minicon holes but no minicon pegs.

So you can plus mincons in to Centuritron or the individual bots into bigger bots but you can't have any other minicons hanging off of Centuritron or the individual members of the trio.

Centuritron shall be Abominus' nemesis, and perhaps PCC Bombshock's buddy!

Can't wait to get these guys, probably the single TF item I'm looking forward to most -- which is kinda funny since there's no real fiction backing these bots up.

I think the combined mode head looks very similar to one of the PCC Commanders. The name of exactly which one escapes me atm.
