:jawdropper:  Wow. This figure and the wave it comes in has to be the single best anniversary celebration kick-off I've ever seen. So freaking bought.

Uh, actually they do have Minicon pegs, on the weapons in vehicle mode anyway. So it's possible to mount them all on top of each other in vehicle mode through the Minicon ports and pegs.

I think it's a pretty cool set, Heavytread having the worst robot mode but he's crippled by having to be the legs of the bigger dude.

I also think Centuritrons hat looks great, reminds me of MK's Raiden.

Can someone please post a Size Comparison with Armada or Energon Perceptor. I really want to see how these look next to the original Combining Mini-con team.

Picked this guy up on a trip last weekend. Wasn't really interested in it until IDW decided to repurpose them as the Ammonites. I guess good fiction works :lol

He's a novelty or curiosity at best, in my opinion. Nothing more.

I understand that probably a slightly bigger part of the budget has gone to figuring out the transformation/combination, but he's just lacking in so many ways for me.

Even for today's deluxes, he's REALLY small. In case anyone tries to convince you he's not bt pairing him another toy in a picture: he's small, he's entrely hollow and lacks plastic where other deluxes would have more.
I actually don't mind the new sizes too much, but this guy crossed the line in my opinion. He really is three legends class figures, with the tank being slightly bigger.

Transformations are extremely basic for both the individual modes as well as the combined mode. Doesn't feel satisfying at all, although on the other hand this means kids will not have too much trouble with it. That's a good thing.
Transformation for the altmodes is pretty much 'stick weapon in there' for two of the three. And speaking of weapons, the big double barrel gun that comes with the jet guy is really just a flat piece of plastic that only looks good from the front.

Faces are the same generic/Prime style faces as seen on most Prime-line Cyberverse. Especially BH Abominus comes to mind - although to be fair: the Centuritron head has some nice character to it.

One cool thing: all the altmodes are equipped with 5mm pegs (/hollow circle pegs with little nubs in them). I think this is a Minicon thing, you can stick them on any bot or vehicle just like you would peg in a weapon.

I don't really recommend this guy at full price. Like I said, he's a curiosity. It's easier to forgive his flaws if he was a different price range (wouldn't make him a better toy all of a sudden, of course), but he's just as expensive as the other deluxes. :)
Got him together with Skywarp and Goldbug, I greatly prefer those over the Minicon team.

Dude you're being overly negative, we've seen the pics we know he's simple. He's still the best combiner in years.

Bruticus was a deluxe combination, hollow, and had ugly proportions. This guy is legends size has great proportions. And manages to look nice from several angles. Everything these days is hollow except Masterpiece.

Listen, I had a long-ass reply ready to once again reason why I feel this way about the toy, but I've already explained myself in detail.

I'm sad to see that apparently a considerable, albeit harsh, review is seen as 'overly negative', especially on this board that is practically littered with members high on haterade.

I'm actually very reasonable when it comes to Transformers products and genuinely enjoy most of the stuff I buy. Once in a while though, one pops up I feel drops the ball or wasn't worth my money after all - this one being one of them. :)

I appreciate Hasbro releasing figures from across the generations this time, other than just G1 updates, and I really like how these guys are used in IDWs fiction. But no, this toy is not on par with other deluxe figures. He's fun, but not deluxe-price fun. In my opinion. :thumb

This toy looks really cool, though I get the novelty bit of it. Doesn't really fit my collection, but for $10 to $12 I can handle one-off if it looks fun.

Doesn't hurt that my collection has been trending towards these new target master commanders that work so well with Metroplex. I think this guy will fit right in with them.

I agree with Digilaut that this fella isn't worth the price of a deluxe, ideally he should be priced somewhere between a Cyberverse Commander/Scout and a Deluxe.

He's still neat though, like I said, I love his funky hat.

I guess I'll explain myself, I'm not trying to start anything but here goes:

Its just that 3 cyberverse figures would cost over $10 pretty close to a deluxe price. Quality wise, everything lately is hollow except some of the voyagers. So yeah I would totally agree its not up to snuff compared to say Generations Ratbat or Classics Prime, but in an era where every fig has fold out hands and gaping holes in the back of their legs he's par.

It may also be that I'm a little frustrated, because I see fun molds like Scoop getting trashed because -graded by a bygone era. (no complaints about loose joints, or other factory foul ups) We should compare these figures to current products 2013. (probably also frustrated that I won't see one till 2014)

In the end, I think the Voyagers are the new Deluxe and the Deluxe are Scouts these days in quality.

I understand :)  , but my point is not that I feel this figure doesn't live up to deluxe toys from a couple years back, but to deluxe toys released right now. And like I said, I actually enjoy most of the ones currently being released. :)

This figure is just one we will have to agree to disagree on. :)

(I also think Cyberverse is way too expensive, by the way. Most of them are great toys, especially the Commanders - but those are the price of what scouts were only 2 or 3 years ago   ).

I don't see how you can bang on this one about the price..

Your getting 3 (slightly better than) legends that combine..

    Legends are at least $5

I think these are better than legends because they combine. Easily worth the price of the toy to me.

Considering that right now, Deluxes are $9.99, which is the same price as Legends 2-packs which cost within $3 of Cyberverse basics and $1 more than Cyberverse commanders, what exactly should the price be? 50 cents less?

I'm looking forward to this one, but I know it's got flaws, so that foreknowledge is tempering my expectations. I don't require every figure to be perfect and I have a feeling that having them stationed with Metroplex will further enhance the set.

Thanks to my buddy Dan, I got one of theses guys and simply put, I love it. The individual figures aren't bad. Heavytread has the weakest 'bot mode but a solid alt mode, and makes for really good legs with good poseability. Runway has the best individual 'bot mode and a decent alt mode. Windshear is average in 'bot and alt modes, but has an interesting transformation for the head.

Centuritron is a great little Deluxe-sized combiner. There are a couple of flaws with the design. Heavytreads arms just kind of hang off the hips, ala MP-03 Starscream's hip-kibble. Runway's hands and arms are supposed to fill in the gaps in the torso, but don't lock in anywhere, so they can be bumped out position quite easily. That said, the figure is great. It has really good poseability for what it is, and looks imposing. I love how the three guns combine to form the big gun for Centuritron.

I'd love to see this figure get redecoed into another team.

Can't believe some people are complaining about the price of something that's already dirt cheap!

He should be three Minicons. I guess legends is an improvement.
