This really takes the figure from meh/"why did I buy this" to "hey this is alright" in one step. Though you do need to give a pretty good tug to get them out all the way - don't worry though, they push right back in if you go too far

Curious guys, This figure along with his wavemates received another production run right? Last couple waves, they have discontinues the rattan strings, for the plastic bands. Why did Skids and co reuse the rattan strings?

So I got a Skids from the new wave to replace my broken one...and I noticed that the new release of Skids has a lighter blue plastic than the first run. Is it just mine or does anyone else notice this?

This wave got another release? That would explain its sudden appearance... here I was jumping at it like a lion after a steak thinking "Holy crap, this wave has disappeared, I'll never see them again!" I grabbed an extra Skids thinking I could either sell it or open it up if my loose one breaks - I floor polished one of his shoulder ball joints and now it takes a lot of effort to pull out. Hopefully I don't break it, but I've seen some stress marks.

my opinion only...I think hasbro stopped production of this run, when we seen only a few cases of this hit, then we got flooded with the minicon wave again..they fixed the hips, and continued production.

    Just my opinion...

And I think this will push back the Arcee wave til after Christmas.

Found this guy hiding behind some AOE toys in a Target display. Despite the criticism he's gotten, I really like him. The robot mode is cool and poses well once you get the feel for how things can band. The alt mode has a unique shape, being wider and not as long as most other car Transformers.

And according to the wiki, his small gun can wipe things from bots' memories. If only that existed in real life...

Received my Skids from a member here on the boards and he's pretty cool. I did check the hips to make sure there were correct and they were, shoulders are a little loose, but I can manage. Now the waist.....on mine it's tight and I'm trying not to force it so I'm going to leave it alone and get back to it later because I don't want to accidentally breaking it when I move the waist.

Sorry for the necrobump, but I need help and this seemed the most appropriate thread. I just bought this today secondhand (at a reputable local shop), and while he's pretty much mint, I can't seem to be able to flip back his shoulder missile launchers. Not the shoulder cannons (I know that you have to flip his back assembly back), but the missile pods on his tires. It came with both of them deployed and they won't give when I push/rotate them back: it seems like they're going to break. Worse, you need to flip them back to even transform him.

Amusingly, I watched a few reviews to see if there was any trick to it, and the only one where he flipped them back (to turn him back to car mode), he didn't manage it at first and cut the footage where he managed (it probably took him a while). Damn! You can see it at 17:50 here:

Are they just that tough? Or is there some voodoo to it? Thanks in advance and again sorry for the bump.

Hmmmm, I've had him since he first hit shelves and have never had a problem with them (or Crosscut's for that matter)... I mean, when they're rotated forward (weapons deployed), they KINDA lock into place, but by a friction "nob" at best, nothing that you need to "release" or otherwise manipulate to get them to rotate back to the "unarmed" position. They should just go back and forth with minimal force.

Thanks a lot for the quick reply! I wonder if its previous owner messed up somehow and that's why he sold it. I see two indents matching a peg on the flip piece, but the peg is currently past both of the indents: you can see it in the following image:

I assume yours is always resting in one of the two indents both when deployed and collapsed? Can it go back and forth to the position in the image with minimal pressure, or the second indent is as far as it will naturally go?

There's nothing wrong with the position yours is in; it's not too far or anything.

On mine it sometimes seems to get caught up a little bit and I have to wiggle it around some. But I've never felt like I was going to break it.

Hope you figure out what's wrong with yours!

Actually, I just checked mine and when it's deployed, it's definitely past both slots. It looks JUST like the pic you provided. Other than not putting enough force into moving it, I cannot for the life of me figure out why it won't rotate back for you!

I see, thanks a lot. I wish we could easily measure how much strength one has to apply to get things to give, so that you could give me a number and say "don't go past this". Mine audibly strains when I push it, as if the force is getting applied to the axle and it's going to twist and snap.

I had the same problem out of the box - both were hard to close, and one really hard.

Looking at it, I reckon the pods are supposed to stop at the 90-degree point - there's the small clip+hole visible in your picture, and another tab on the wall behind the tyre.

It's not hard to push past those to 100 degrees, but if you do, it can be quite hard to push back again.

    I just...

...Picked him up for eight bucks on ebay. This guy is amazing! Guns that pop out of the hood in Alt mode? Amazing! This guy looks perfect with my lost light crew.

Had a question of Skids. I just got Takara Legends Skids a couple days ago and I watched Emgos review on the Generations version. I noticed he pushed the toes down and clicked them into place and it gave Skids a more even footing. Right out of the box,I have stress marks on both feet on the inside of where the red toe pieces sit and I was curious is it necessary to click the toes in place or leave as is? I dont want to make the the stress marks worse.
