Popped him open and transformed into robot mode. Parts were flying all over the place, I don't remember ever having that issue with my TC. Overall feels much looser. One of the wings won't stay up very well either so I guess it's time to bring out the Future.

He's neat though, I like him. I have nothing against the camo type. I wish the gray painted parts, primarily his torso were darker gray however. Like on the box front cover.

Bought this guy today, and I think he's fantastic. No paint or QC issues on mine; everything's nice and tight, and the paint work is great. I absolutely love the way his colors pop. The digital camo looks pretty cool in my opinion, and makes AS's color scheme look more interesting overall. With my only other MP seeker being Hasbro's Skywarp, I am very impressed with this guy, and I think that he was well worth the purchase.

Hmm... I had almost forgotten about this. I still haven't gotten any Masterpiece Seekers (even though I love the Seekers and the look of the mold), and this paint scheme looks really cool to me. If I can find this guy at my local Toys R Us I may have to get him. I don't think I'll go crazy looking for him though. :lol  Thanks for the review, by the way! :thumb

You should be OK finding him I think. And any MP Seekers are better than none! ;)

ha-ha, I'm planning to at least get the Fall of Cybertron Seekers, as much as I would love the Masterpiece ones, I'm just too late in the game. :lol  The only thing that's really holding me back from Acid Storm right now is the price. $75 is in no way too high a price for a figure like this, but he was never on my list of "must haves" (though he may get there :lol ), so I just find it hard to justify it.

That digital camo does look nice though... :lol

Yeah, I noticed the NCO names on the sides of the cockpit too (a SSgt and a MSgt, I believe). I don't think the Hasbro designers realized the rank faux pas though, but then most of Hollywood botches a lot of military stuff that drives military buffs and/or actual military members crazy (myself included XD). Sergeants were pilots at one point in time in the US armed forces but the last time that flew (literally) was WWI before Congress enacted legislation to reserve the pilot's seat for officers exclusively.

Anyway, Acid Storm is pretty neat. Mine had no issues whatsoever aside from an easily poppable wing (but was simple to pop it back in to its hinge joint during transformation). I even don't mind his trippy color scheme since it kinda says, "hey, I'm kinda toxic and glowing neon green, better keep your distance." The military camo designs on the wings are just a nice touch (though I'd wonder how they'd look in a more USAF camo pattern, maybe the tiger stripe patterns before the AF settled on the ABU design).

Does anyone have a picture of him next to Sunstorm? I wish I had MP-11S but I'm thinking a photo shoot with Acid Storm and Sunstorm would be a color overload extravaganza!

My MP-11S arrived today (ah, that glorious orange creamsicle) so if/when I get my hands on an Acid Storm, I'll post some pics.

Here you go in terms of the request of Sunstorm & Acid Storm next to each other.

    Thanks!

They are both really colorful, but seeing them next to each other like that it feels like they are opposites. I think its the white vs black accents. Looks really cool and interesting though. I think I'll have to put MP-11S a little higher on the prio list...

Personality-wise, they are considered to be total opposites. Sunstorm more behaves like a supernatural being and a bit insane. So it makes him more of an outcast. Whereas, Acid Storm prefers to be more anonymous and in the shadows. He is more quiet and intelligent.

Hmm, that's true. Didn't consider that angle actually. Good stuff!

Anybody else having an issue where Acid Storm's wings pop right off? I can't transform him without his wings just coming right out of the clips.

One of the wings on mine has a tendency of popping off but it is easy to pop back on. That is the only issue that I have with it.

Yep, same here. Just one of them though. I think a smidge of Future on the pin might do the trick.

Just got him today and transformed him to Robot mode. Damn I love that camo on the wings. He looks so sharp.

I think the camo style is very hit and miss with folks. Some love it, some hate it. Hard to be indifferent about it. ;)

Common issue with the new mold. My MP Sunstorm has a wing like that. It's a PITA but not really a deal breaker.

Is anyone having a hard time with the wing tip tabs? Mine are so crazy tight on my new Sunstorm that I'm afraid I'm going to rip them off.

The wings popping off is better than the hinges breaking at least. Granted, only GreenSceam only seemed to break those hinges in a bad way, but the later releases on that mold were still vulnerable.
Is it something which can be partially alleviated by applying the pressure nearer to the hinge?

i really wish they would "fix" the waist on this mold after this many releases of it. this is the only reason i havent bought AS yet. i just find this mold annoying to handle.

it looks good sitting on the shelf though
