    Got the Euro version yesterday

I am amused that instead of coming with Spotlight: Trailcutter, a comic the emphasises how Trailcutter doesn't want to be "the one with the force shields", he comes with a one line european bio that reads "Deploys an Inpeneterable Force Shield"

The ones in UK TRUs (£12.99) are comic less.

The first link works, the second don't...

EDIT: that's because in the second link you've pasted "http://" twice.

In your configuration Trailcutter doesn't look bad at all anyway.

Sad part? I work with HTML all day, and my brain refuses to work a simple message board. WTF? I fixed the 2nd link...try it out now.

I've personally always felt Trailbreaker had a pooch going anyway. Who needs to work out when you have force fields?

My only definite yes of the first four IDW. The colors in robot mode look great, and the vehicle has just a touch of an '80s feel coming through to me somehow. Must be those stripes on the side.

Most of the figures you are comparing there are newer and smaller too. My issue with his size is in relation to the older Classics deluxe and core cast like Sunstreaker, Mirage, ect... Trailbreaker should be as big or taller than them.

I would like to see more of the minibots done up as deluxe size now, like Windcharger, Beachcomer who would size up very well as smaller deluxe figures.
It could work out perfect if they got those guys out. I know they have Cosmos coming out but not as a deluxe so he might be too small.

I know there is no scale with Transformers but sometimes they are so close to making them work. I have to say overall i'm pretty happy with my classics collection scale, i'm just being picky. I will be getting this guy as he is close enough.

He really is. I'm really hoping Hasbro make a voyager of him. I have no interest in paying over hundred bucks for that 3rd party one. Same goes for IDW Optimus.

He's a thoroughly decent modern deluxe. You could probably skip him and not miss out on too much fun, but he's far from a waste of your money. The truck does look a little weird and he could use more/better fitting tabs. The size isn't too out of line with what we've been getting since (even before) DOTM as well. Anyone caught off-guard by the size must have not really been buying many recent deluxes really.

    Based on what reasoning?

The size doesn't bother me; I like a bit of variety on the shapes and heights of the crew, and the original toy/character used a Toyota Hi-Lux as an alt, which is not a big vehicle at all.
