I think i'm going to have to track down that little bugger... he looks and sounds too sweet to pass up- especially for a basic pricepoint.

To be quite honest the basic/deluxe price-points are the only 2 in Cybertron that have yet to dissappoint me really. Granted, the basics have the handicap of being cheap, so while it's unfortunate that Scattershort doesn't have knees, or that whatever jack shot got called in America has funky arms, it's understandable.

Undermine really surprised me though.... he's got great attention to detail and I love the figure about 10 times as much as I loved Cruellock. The spinosaurus mode looks awesome, the his force chip gimmick actually looks a lot better in person. If I had any complaints, it would be his lack of a real "Head", in that it just kind of grows out of his upper torso, and also his half-dinosaur head hands... I hate it when Beastformers get those stupid mouth-hands.

I think his head is his major defining feature, and wouldn't change it for the world. Reminds me a bit of a Chozo statue from the Metroid games, with a headdress, actually. But perhaps a bit more knightly.

And I kinda agree with you on the hands, except at least the head splits into passable pincer claws, instead of having a whole head on one arm.

Yeah that's true, but you can see how the arm hinges (both pair) set in that angle, but thanks! it was no trouble... I like to think of the arms as an unadvertised gimmick... He normally has them hidden, but has the ability to "deploy" them when the situation calls for them!

I've got the Galaxy Force version and think he's great. I can't see why most people don't seem to like him. He's loaded with lots of intricate detail. I even like the funky colour.

I just got him today, and I have to say personally I love the little guy. He is really unique but so are a lot of the GF/Cyb figures. I love his beast mode, and I think it's perfect just the way it is. Though, he could have made due with a better Force Chip/Cyber Key gimmick. Though, I didn't buy Undermine/Dinoshout for his force chip gimmick. I bought him, for the awesome beast mode which will be just cool to place with my other beast figures. He does make a perfect subordinate for Flame/Scourge, and I really dig both of them together. I just can't wait for more Jungle Planet figure, because I dig beast modes. I would personally give him an A for a figure or a B+. If he had a perfect gimmick then he really would deserve a higher grade.

Got one myself today for free when getting the Starscream/Vector Prime set. He is a rather cool little guy. Even though I got him free I would not have regreted paying for him.

The only thing I feel would have made him better is if his head hands would have been turned the other way so that the jaw opened down instead of up. This is however a minor thing I can easily overlook.

Just got the Universe re-release of this guy today while at Dollar General, which is actually within walking distance of my house. Not perfect, but definitely better than I had expected him to be. The paint apps are really good, and I like how his mace can be stored in bot-mode. He's actually the first Beast Planet TF I've gotten from the Cybertron series. He'll make for a great little assistant to Bruticus when I get him. I actually like the little dino arms hanging there in bot-mode. Which is something I like about the Animated Waspinator figure revealed. It makes them look even more alien than they already do. Here's a picture of him and the Animated Grimlock I got this past weekend.
