I just realized that too when Gen Magnus posted his finding at Target. All this internet and Ebay purchasing can be confusing sometime as you just don't know what's local or not, ehhee. Now I don't feel that bad.

So for those that have the BH, in robot mode, can his hammer be store/mounted onto his back like the show or PRID?

Funny, it took me a few days to free that one from its box, I thought it would be the least interesting of the newest BH toys... boy I was wrong! I like it even more than the original mold...

For those of us in the East Coast it may be at least a week or 2 before we see this in retail(just going by how things usually go).

Anyone think of good Arms Microns to pair Magnus with?

Yes, but only if he wears his jetpack.

However, the wings of the jetpack can fold in so that it's almost invisible from the front.

Got mine a couple of days ago and I gotta say, it's a huge disappointment. It's a gangly mess. I was really looking forward to it too as I like the character and some of the photos made it look amazing. Will be using it for parts now.

Like REMINATOR I hope we get a CV Vehicle and figure.

I bought Magnus from HTS and I liked it better than Grimwing, fwiw. That said, the arms have a tendency to fall off from the bicep swivels when I try to pose it sometimes. The headsculpt also isn't as sharply detailed as it could be. The forge of Solus Prime is too small and the shoulder missiles look horrible in the shoulder stacks.

Even with all my complaints its still fun to fiddle with, the missile gimmick works and I love the colors. If the arms didn't pop off every so often I would probably love this figure, but as is its just so so.

I live in California and I can always count on finding stuff a month after its first sighting. :redface2:

Easily my favorite Ultra Magnus. No loose joints, the color is spectacular, and I even like the ridiculously huge shoulder pauldrons.

I'm not using the jetpack with it, though. I thought that might make the alt mode look bad, but I just think of the shoulders as rocket boosters. :)  You can even still store the hammer on the back of the alt mode.

I know it'll make some people cringe, but this is going on my Classics shelf. It looks great next to Kup, Springer, PRID Bulkhead, and Mech Ideas Geminus.

I was hoping this might be an acceptable "Classics" Magnus. Could you post a picture of the shelf line-up you mentioned?

The voyager looks kinda like a shrimp compared to Voyager Springer.
I WILL get the weaponizer platimum edition Magnus. He would scale better. after all Magnus is all big and that...

Here is a pic I nicked from another forum.
can't wait to display them like that.

Well, now I am thinking harder about THIS Ultra Magnus. After reading the IDW comics, I picture UM towering over most other bots.

That one does scale a bit better. But it also has all the problems of weaponizer Optimus (back half of the alt mode looks more like robot parts than an alt mode, robot mode has a huge backpack that's basically just the untransformed cab of the alt mode, awkward wheels on the legs in robot mode), but it adds new problems on top of that with how the shoulders just stick out the sides of the alt mode.

I do prefer the voyager, but both at least look nice in bot mode. :)
