That's pretty much it, yeah. The bad news here hampers my 'want' a little...but only a little. He still looks and sounds better than a lot of what Hasbro has been pitting put lately.

Shame about the shoulders and the gappy tank mode, but what are you gonna do.

Really though? That qualifies as a "gappy" mode in a triplechanger?

Tank mode looks pretty decent to me considering that the toy is trying to do realistic tank to realistic jet instead of jet to pocket-tank.

Great, it's Universe Powerglide and Cyclonus all over again... *sigh*

Seems alright to me aside from that issue, but I'll reserve judgment until I've handled him.

Well, in the sense that he doesn't have a coherent rear end, just tank sides with obvious purple jet parts stuffed into it, yeah. It's space with a nose and fins and stuff hanging out in there.

On the upside, we got a turning turret. I honestly wasn't expecting that. It's very cool.

Rubber doesn't break as easy since it's flexible material.

Anyway really sad about all those design flaws, but I can pass on this one, never liked Blitzwing as a character and its more money for the guys that I DO want (Springer, IDW Deluxes.)

I like animated, but keep it out of my classics/generations. I'll take 1 good face over 3 derpy ones any day.

Wait, are you saying you actually wanted a figure smaller? Rare to hear around here. ;)

None of these issues sound like deal breakers. Some of them even sound like dotty QC, though I hope the shoulder/hips flaws don't bug me too much. Aesthetically, to me, he is a triumph in robot mode, more so over Springer who's really more impressive for all his modes looking decent.

Actually I'm most disappointed in the crazy face, it's not re-interpreted at all. Whereas the other faces are G1-ified (since Anger Face IS his G1 face, and Icy Face might actually be the best and most robotic of the three).

    Here's hoping for Flywheels redeco!

Still looks awesome as far as I'm concerned.

    Face doesn't bug me.
    Rubber _generally_ doesn't bug me.
I think it can x-acto the nose cone.
Shoulders - just an issue with some figs that I learn to deal with. Eg. RTS Jazz.

Actually, I think the Lugnut in OP's post is just mistransformed. Aren't his legs supposed to extend?

Anyway all these issues bar the shoulders sound like QC issues more than design flaws. The shoulder one is probably the only one that's gonna bug me, though RTS Jazz had a similar issue and I was able to deal with it.

I generally dislike figures that don't have adequate lock in shoulders, but still, I'm optimistic about this guy. I've always liked Blitzwing, so he should look good on a shelf if nothing else.

Some of these things are disappointing, but I'm still happy that I pre-ordered him. I like the character and the difference between modes is astounding to me. I've never seen better tripple changers than Blitz and Springer.

Doesn't look too awful, just as good as the Animated Blitzwing (and that one has it's own issues), although I agree Springer is the gem.

Me too, he's standing on display only the most time anyway.

Nosecone and heads seem disappointing, wonder if a 3rd party will make something for us.

Thank god I'm a DIY kind of person. :lol

The shoulder issue won't be an issue for me. I'll probably end up jimmying up a fix that will make it a-okay. Nose cone...eh, sucks, but that's the only thing that bugs me. Shoulder not really as I'll probably end up making it work, so.

I'm getting both Blitzwing and Springer for sure!

I will casually wait until more people get this in hand and start to gush enthusiastically.

Crap, it happened for Grimlock and his faults are more numerous and more severe.

I love Animated, but I'm not sure if I really want the multi-face gimmick here. At least they went for all three.

Kinda funny how the plane of rotation makes the faces look kinda rounded and (relatively) chinless.

Definitely FOC Grimlock is much worse. I sold him ages ago, by the way.

This is disappointing. So much potential.
