Seeing the initial pictures of BW, I wasn't impressed. Heck, I didn't like what I see.
    The review cements it.

Just got mine (and springer - not yet opened). In short - I'm very impressed. Mine came with no forehead mistransform in the box , very tight joints, very good paint job . Great missile gimmick . Shoulders are not an issue - very tight on mine. Will take pics later but I don't think the bashing on this thread is deserved. 8/10 for me

So it seems like the issue with his shoulders might be related to QC eh?

I guess we'll just have to wait and see if it's a widespread problem.

So what is this issue exactly? Are the pegs that fix the shoulder flaps in place in bot mode are too short/not thick enough?

Is it basically a repeat of the same with the MP seeker design?

Hey man I'm in the middle of watching your review (great, so far!). In transforming to jetmode, the forearms do peg onto the torso on mine even if the pegs are shaped weirdly. You may have to fiddle with it a bit.

Besides all that, it looks like this suffers from hollow disease. Damn Hasbro, really?

Also in jet mode, this tab should slide into that slot. When you do that, everything else will peg together and you'll find the jet mode to be very stable :)

Are we talking about the same Baltmatrix? Of all the reviews of his that I've seen, he usually ends up liking the item in question.

I was surprised that he didn't like Blitzwing.

I was glad, because the figure is terrible (now that I've seen the video review), but still surprised.
If the plastic had been solid, I might've had a better opinion of it, and dealt with the shoulder issue, but as it stands...he's a horrible figure.

I may even end up getting the Takara version if they fix some of these issues. It might even use different materials in some places like no soft rubbery plastic.

I honestly feel like this figure is getting way more flak than it deserves. Even if the shoulder issue is an innate design flaw, it is absolutely fixable. Compare Blitzwing with 90% of the shit-tacular figures we've gotten over the last year, it's really leaps and bounds ahead.

It doesn't help being released in the same wave as Springer, who seems to be one of the most successfully designed triple changers of all time.

Blitzwing is at least no worse than Octane and Astrotrain...? They both had severe design limitations also.

Even with all the hate he's getting, I'm still opting for Blitzwing over Springer. I love those faces too much.

So the big problem that I keep hearing about is the fact that you have to put your finger on the tab when you move the shoulder?

There are plenty of figures that don't have shoulders that lock in and you have to be careful when you move them.

I would like it explained to me how else you are supposed to make a fist fold into a forearm without it being hollow?

I kinda wish he were a tad bit shorter because he's taller than Lugnut. It's not as bad as the size issues with their Animated counterparts, but it still feels kinda weird.

Just got Blitzwing. He's good. Warning for large pic loading up ahead.

Robot modes are quite good! I enjoy posing him. It appears that only one of my shoulders is unclipping when I rotate it, which means it's not a design flaw, it's inconsistent tooling. His right shoulder manages to tab in, but his left one just slips and slides around inside. My camera isn't good enough to be able to take a picture of the tab, but it feels like the tab on the left is significantly longer than the one on the right.

I like the vehicle modes, but agree that the tank is the weakest link. However, it's more fun to convert Blitzwing to tank form as opposed to converting him to jet form.

This is my solution for the shoulder that doesn't want to tab in. I slip the long vehicle-mode strut underneath the shoulderpad as opposed to resting it on top. There is some minor shoulder jiggling but it stays more or less in place and doesn't put any stress on the plastic once clipped in, which is good.

All in all, I HEARTILY RECCOMEND this figure!
