He looks very good! I can see myself tossing the armor in a bin somewhere, but oh well.

I am so glad the beast hunter crap are add-ons. That was my biggest worry.

 

Shockwave is looking great! Very beefy looking and intimidating in bot mode (unlike the shrimpiness of FoC Shockwave). Alt mode does remind me of the Thundertank (or a KLF/LFO from Eureka Seven to a lesser extent, as someone else mentioned). XD Shocky will be a welcome addition.

 

Wow, you got this bad boy pretty early. I don't expect to get mine until next week. Looking forward to getting him.

Damn, and I just got FoC Shockwave for my Classics....looks like he's gonna get replaced fairly quickly.

 

Good god. That guy is just INTENSE in all the right ways. I don't even know how to say it but...presence, man.

Also Rage of the Dinobots gives you the perfect excuse to troopbuild him!

 

The difference is that WFC Megatron's tank mode was actually in the game.

Hypothesis: we may have found a decent Shockwave. FOC was good, but this one should appease fans who wanted him in a larger scale.

It certainly is one good looking figure.

I did try folding them out, but it did nothing for the already superb bot-mode. I assume you are refering to the black vertical rubber fins, and not the purple pieces, cos those don't move. Come to think of it, I think this "may" be an option for people wanting it to look more like the FOC version though...

tough one...i would have to say yes, but also depends on how picky you are with scale, and the size of his arm canon...

The canon sides are hard plastic. All of the pointy fins, however, are made of rubber.

 

I very much like his tank mode - though it is Cybertronian, it is still recognizable as a tank. And he looks nice and beefy in both modes.

 

Finally! ...a Prime figure that actually looks nice from the back, as well as the front.

 

Yes, the black ones, that's it. Fair enough, though I'll probably be folding them out on mine for the same of maintaining some visual continuity with the FOC version.

 

It's almost a cliche, but dang Hasbro needs to do a better job on their publicity photos. Before I saw these, I wasn't sure the figure would be any good.
